  1. By premade do you mean ceiling fittings?

  3. Whats fancy about that? http://www.arcadia-uk.info/product.php? ... ⊂=&id=4 and they arent to much either.
  4. How long is it supposed to cure for and under what conditions?????
  5. Spidersweb: What happened to make the 450l fail???? Afrikan: How did the silicon make the tank fail??????
  6. I agree if there is any risk of scratches it wants extra coats of paint.
  7. You could get it sprayed proffesionally.
  8. Is it to create convection currents to move water under surface? or what?
  9. So You use Mdf and dont spill water, you could put shallow bins in cupboards. Did you use proper paint, you can get mdf primer and then put aquanamel on (the waterbased paint used in bathrooms (looks slightly glossy))
  10. How long is each spray bar length? How does the bracing thing work?
  11. pipes into tank, uni, just whatever
  12. Floor in concrete 8 foot would be almost a ton though.
  13. Does anyone have any pics of intake outlet etc, would be interested to see.
  14. Oh   Am I right in thinking weight is evenly distributed over the tanks bottoms surface, if so it will easily hold.
  15. Riverdance test???????? I agree, better safe than sorry!!!!!!!!!
  16. saw a 5ish foot aqua one tank the other day on mdf (Even I would be wary of that particular stand)

  18. You are making me nervous, but lots of proffesional stands are mdf and less than there is on my one.
  19. I made it with the two ends right down to the concreter floor, then a base in between the two ends with the other 2 uprights on it, though will add a rail across the front and 2 more uprights hard against the end 2 to support the rail. so i suppose really that it is going through the base. All mdf is glued and screwed and joins are strong type (top is on top of uprights so that the upright would have to fail to make the top cave in, as opposed to the top being screwed to the side of the uprights, which would be asking for trouble)
  20. Allowed 600 but there will be a beam across the front of the opening 85mm high and so it will have to slide out uynder it (515mm gap)
  21. Just found this... Aqua One CF-2400 Aquis - Suitable for aquariums up to 800 litres. - Canister filter size: 40H x 33D x 33W cm. If the 2200 is a good 100mm shorter that makes it about 300x330x330mm
  22. This is seriously strong, I can jump on it and I worry about things so it will be twice as strong as it needs to be. Ps. looking at the mdf stands it lfs its stronger
  23. how high does that make the 2200
