i told them they were fish & it was written on the docket, they made it a special point of making sure they were ok. 8) i like poste haste alot more than NZC because the manager up here is a very good guy to deal with.

use poste haste, i phoned & nothing has changed for them. they still do it happily & they are cheaper than NZC.

i would have thought they would suffocate from lack of air or physical pressure before the acids would kill them. Cutting the throat the way some do it is bleeding to death.

this is pretty weird in my book. i am sure it happens else where in the world, maybe it's just odd to us & acceptable to other cultures. the idea had to come from somewhere. as for dieing, i would probably rather being swallowed whole than having my throat cut like sheep etc.

i had the same thing up here with NZC. A nature conscious, dread locked mid 40's female would whine about how she "did not really like sending fish" for the first three or four visits i made to send fish. She stopped pointing out her opinions when i quietly pointed out i didn't come to her desk to get her dislikes & that i was there simply to send the fish to their new loving home instead of me feeding them to my cat. Went fine after that but i now choose to use Poste Haste who have provided equal or better service so far.

i know, i go there most weeks & a mate is a driver for poste haste 8) this might all be a storm in a tea cup, maybe its someone new who has read the rules & wants to make an empression.

the other thing i have just thought about, i don't know that the couriers realise what is in my boxes as i do not write live fish on them, simply add the fragile stickers.

i use poste haste but they use NZC when they don't have a run where it is going.

when i get it built i am tempted to move the "tank" to the right so it will be next to the pump & have two filtration/media compartments at the "water entry" end. What do you think?

not mine..... yet. this has a small tank included for fry or separating fish & it runs an 8 foot tank.

i never do anything but concentrate on filling the tanks during the process of a water change. when i am refilling a tank i use the hose to blow any left over debris & flush around the rocks toward the filter out let so i can get sucked up. wow a spa & on tank water, you must have big tanks.
