  1. the flip side is that every comedian is now suspected as being the guy & they have now said he has never performed live, done stand up or toured anywhere. what does that leave, comic writer?
  2. the rule is you can eat turkeys in any month that does not have an R in it in NZ, may, june july, august. I roasted one in early september this year as there weren't any crickets yet & it was good. as a young hunter (12ish) i got one so Mum showed me how to pluck, gut & prepare it for cooking. She helped me get it started & then my parents went out to a relations house. man did i know i had got it in the wrong season after a while cooking, it stunk the entire house out. lesson learnt, se told me not to do it until the time of year was right.
  3. the recipe is: 1) prepare the pukeko & put in a pot to boil. 2) boil the pukeko for 3 hours with a rock. 3) when time is up throw out the pukeko & eat the rock.
  4. also keep in mind it will take between 10 & 15 years to do so to.
  5. they are real characters, the more the better.
  6. clown loaches are my choice of snail eradication. there are none to be seen in my tank but plenty in the filter.
  7. i also have a high powered air rifle if you want to use it.
  8. there are two windows per year they are game, 2nd May to 30 Aug & 27 Feb to 7 March. i could thin a few out for you if you don't want to.
  9. variety is the key IMO. i feed jbl novorift sinking sticks as a main food, jbl novovert, sera granumeat, sera granugreen, sushi wrap, shelled peas, cucumber & bloodworms only once a week. i feed all my africans the same including the tropheus & i haven't had health issues at all. i have also had the dark spots of my red zebs from foods with spirulina in it.
  10. didn't notice any to be honest
  11. i would be very surprised if they did get out, i do know that none of my neighbours have bearded dragons so hence the chance of lions etc being so high  if the lions got out of their enclosure there are still dear fences to get through & i have sheep (for the next few days) as bait anyway.
  12. i think the house down the road is for sale, i like my house but then you have every animal i could ever want...... it's a tough choice
  13. thay are awesome fish, what do they look like at that size?
  14. yes it is, i am smitten with my tropheus but my wife would much rather i put the fryeri, yellows & peacocks back in the tank inside.
  15. i would like a visitor like that to but i am 10,000 times more likely to have a lion or tiger in my front yard.
  16. i think its my males that do that, sometimes showing their band & other times not. i have seen one have a band on one side & not the other to.
  17. i guess that would be hard to tell, they are pourous so will absorb what ever they come in contact with. i have used granite & snadstone tiles that i broke up in the past & had no issues, as they were tiles they had sealers etc put into them but i had no problem. i would soak them for a week or two before adding them to your tank.
  18. i put a cf1000 on a 2 footer as i had the canister spare & thats what i did, it worked sweet.
  19. it is very cool the stages they go through, i particularly like the dubs whne they start getting their bands but still have spots.
