  1. that's more than 10x in my books, and especially not if they eat bikes.. a lot of protein there though.
  2. interesting .. never seen them myself. look neat though. shame they're not 3 x or even 10x bigger huh.
  3. todays landing p.s red one was also doing swimming lessons.
  4. Welcome back. That elephant wanted to eat you btw. :bggrn: Great photos.
  5. keep them mainly aquatic. even outdoors over summer. grow better, breed longer harder, long time
  6. This guy is my favourite so far .. not that I have favourites :sml2: Young mack snow from Alan. Stunning and feisty. I admit I got a fright the first time the 4.8g gecko launched out of its hide at me, dammit :sml1:
  7. Thanks Dr. Smug little bugger may be ok after all, was a bit funny when first hatched though. :nilly: She has side burns so I am still a little worried ...
  8. didn't notice it until watching the vid later. silence is rare here. ribbet ribbet chirp chirp about sums it up haha. was happy but gecko isn't right eh.. bit :nilly: onit. reptiles eh, unbelievable.
  9. First one hatched today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AWApII1-mI
  10. No worries, when the locusts get stuck up your nose and you get sick of slave labour there will be plenty more crickets here for ya, while stocks last. :lar:
  11. true that sounds like an interesting way to do it 10cm wide ... just enough to heat one side of a hidebox. really happy with it. incubator warehouse were really helpful. email them to check they can do 220/240V in the size you want b4 purchasing.
  12. bit like me ordering flex watt frm http://www.incubatorwarehouse.com purcahsed 110v frm ebay, but the supplier noticed location and pointed out they had the 220-240v product (not advertised at the time). sorted mate. took 3-4 weeks running up to xmas, to arrive, so not bad I reckon.
  13. looks ok . think they may of been on tm ages ago .. they don't have to be incredibly accurate for pets. more so for incubators. i'm using a reptapets one for my racks and it is working ok.
  14. -3 months is a bit rough .. says 15 feb - 5 march on listing.
  15. l. aurea not suppose to survive down this vway so I read but they do fine here. left some outdoors a couple of years back and they thrived some one send me a rani male ill try a hybrid pairing. some ppl dispute its possible but I have a feeling ...
  16. my book states muta as the little grass cicada. Prob that or angusta. or redtailed ...
  17. yes frozen solid and all good the next day sometimes croak when it is a frost amazing little frogs.
  18. tussock or little grass cicada? .. yellow form. found doing swimming lessons in a small trough today.
  19. silly things - probably thought it was there for grazing on haha. seal the base and dig up some of the lawn
  20. that is one theory. is hints of raniformis in mine. could be equally from the 'normals' I bred to the original albino/s as the 'normals' I acquired had hints of rani but were much more aurea looking. as for original albinos I am not sure if they had any signs of hybridism. mine didn't but only ever had three original + one wild caught.
  21. naughty torty. Good stuff on changing the paper. Better to be safe than have them reading the newspaper and getting confused lol Id just use paper towels - extra absorbant - or fake turf. cut two bits and hose one off weekly and change over. Never kept tortoises here though.
  22. wondered that. still raniformis though haha. warty skin be the give away. then green stripe down back -not present in your pics but you will see it sooner or later - however have some here that look more aurea and still have the stripe. and think goldens have more markings on them, no just green, my hill billy ones do anyway. raniformis probably vary too.
  23. Liotria raniformis, the southern bell frog. Be surprised if the golden bell frog, l. aurea, exists in the wild down there as seem more tropical of the two bell frog species here.
  24. Make sure plenty of vents for wood and or glass do the top mesh. One of my old wooden cabinets is great but too hot with only one vent. Really only want a hot spot in the viv nothing more.
