  8. If he can cope with knifey and the dopesters then he will cope with rainbows huh
  9. Is your eel shy snookie? My Tyre Track is very bold and "in your face" attitude, and he's not shy of other tank mates either, even snatches earthworms off them.
  10. Hmm trying to recall the one at National Aquarium.. have a brain blockage tonight  They do have some large Bosemani in the Crocodile Tank And the croc doesn't seem interested. Oh and your question...for Bosemani: Water parameters: pH: neutral to alkaline (7.0-8.0) Hardness: soft to moderate (3-15) Temperature: 23-28oC.
  11. Very nice little Flash Plec, you will love it, they aren't shy either
  12. White spot can be treated effectively without white spot cure.
  13. Yeah they are bossy, especially Bosemani and Incisus Red Rainbows, however, I have kept them before and that has never put me off. They just niggle amongst themselves normally, unless of course you are keeping the one then that one will find something in the tank to annoy. Well worth keeping tho snookie. They are always on the go and beautiful splash of colour... often used in African tanks as dithers.
  14. They are nice Paul... And the big adult trio and older young are taking care of the brood, awesome to watch.
  15. Good choice snookie!! Bosemanis... Insicus... Macculochs... *drool* Wish I still had rainbows...
  16. Sounds like whitespot... are they itching, scraping themselves on substrate etc? Some people like to nip whitespot naturally, other's use meds.. I am one for natural before anything else, raise temp to 28-29 degrees, extra airation and a bit of tonic salt... raised temp speeds up whitespot cycle.. Cold water changes can definately cause it, especially when you have said "large water change" to. Too much of a shock to fishes system... some are more sensitive to this than others.
  17. Have just noticed a huge swarm of young Daffodil Pulchers that the community mormon family seem to be taking care of  Yes fishy_t I can see you thinking "They have bred already!" So if anyone is keen for some Dafs from very nice stock then be sure to yell, I am sure I can spare one or two, or 50  Here is a link: http://www.bigskycichlids.com/Npulcher_daffodilx.htm
  18. Might try the fat blighter on shrimp then... I get fresh shrimp for the Frons so hmm might try Timmy aswell (Son has named him Timmy Tyretrack  ) Thanks for the tip snookie 8)
  19. Yep I am with snookie on that one, aim of the game is to make sure he is definately getting good food source so hand feeding is awesome, my tyre track is getting huge on bloodworms and earthworms... Earthworms he gets in a major frenzy over.. but he won't touch frozen mysis shrimp  snookie - Hmmm after looking at pics of Sebae, I don't think the ones that are at Palmy LFS are Sebae, but I could be wrong, because I don't keep brackish any longer I didn't take overly much notice. Very nice tho 8)
  20. Welcome to the forums Ketan
