Can you give us a pic that gives an indication of scale? Chuck a coin in the bucket and take a pic then we may have a better idea how tiny you think it is.

Here is a nice cuttlefish vid showing some eating habits - not for the faint hearted though I warn you! Are squid quite so voracious?

That would be cut it in half and replant the top half. I just used to hold it down with a rock because it is a bit of a tricky thing to plant the stems individually.

Perhaps HFF need to stipulate what the dosage is for, as Ira said the dosage rate appears to be that for treating fish in a quarantine tank, not as for dosing a planted tank on a weekly/waterchange basis.
