Hi all. I netted a female Sunshine Peacock a couple of weeks ago and she released her eggs prematurely. I hung the net in the tank while I did a quick Google to DIY an egg tumbler. I used this site and cobbled one together as quick as I could. I've done a bit more research since and there's some interesting ideas on YouTube. I might try another method if there's a next time but this way worked O.K. as a first attempt.
I can't say when they were spawned but when they first went into the tumbler they were just eggs and by the next day they had a tiny tail and by the second day there were eyes. I started with 54 eggs and I've ended up with around 25 fry, I haven't done a proper head count yet.
