Would somebody be able to PM me with contact info, am trying to talk my Dad and his girlfriend into checking out your club. They have goldfish but also have an empty 4footer that they picked up for free which has a cracked bottom. They are looking and fixing it and setting it up as a tropical tank. -
Could be interested in some of the offspring of that one

I have a really nice male with (small) double swordtail which I got for his red cardial fin. - If I can't buy a solid red line I will build one. Also one of my halfblack males is showing a bottom sword which looks interesting consdering the male I started the line with had a top sword but have not seen the trait in any offspring. Nice tail colours too.

You shouldn't have platies and swardtails together as they will cross breed :evil: as the results of this perticular crossbreed are used in cancer reserch you may want to re-think that a little.

:lol: saw that today and had a little laugh - mind you I don't feed white worms to any of my blonde or albino strains. I feed them other live foods though.

Also depends on the strain.. I have a half-black strain that has huge drops while my albinos have tiny drops.. sometimes only 2-7!

I had one that only dropped 11, she started droping saturday night and only finnished tonight... and no, she couldn't have gotten to them & eaten them in the trap she was in.

Had a few of these from one female, she ate them before they could get away. I decided not to use her as a breeder so let her & babies go for a swim with the convicts. :oops:

See, I can't be in it if I don't even know where it is. Do you think it's unfair to be told by your partner that if you bring home another tank you're sleeping on the couch?

They are fine until the angles mouths get big enough to fit around the guppies heads... then guppies start to dissapear. Males first as they are generally smaller.

There are many good books on guppies from books for the beginner to books on breeding fancy strains, books about genetics – there is even a 14yr study on evolutionary ecology. What sort of book are you after?

Welcome to the forum Paul, you may want to change that male:female ratio with the guppies though or the females could get harassed to death, I find 2-3 females to one males is best with these beautiful little livebearers.
