  2. Pair Male (kinda has a bit of a gumby face, but meh. Great colours for such a small guy) Female And got a nice snap of this guy
  3. Got a beaut little pair of blue rams today from Organism. Nice wee pair they are!
  4. nice job, tank looks great!
  5. You can get the 'Up' regulator you posted on trademe above off ebay for about $100 delivered. Yes that pH controller system will run here as it says it's rated to 240V.
  6. that's hella overkill. My driftwood was taken from the beach and put straight into my tank (washed the gunk off with the hose). Lots of pieces too, no problems whatsoever.
  7. beautiful tank, what lighting? and size of tank?

    The What's Up? thread.

bleh to the walnut, coconut is much better!
  9. Would be a great size for a business to have in their lobby/office area. I don't know how you'd market it for them though sorry.
  10. Gonna get rid of it, it gets too big. Will replace with a smaller chain sword or some crypts. It was just a "filler" plant til I could find a replacement. You can have it if you want?
  11. Moved all the crypts that were smooshed up against the glass back a bit, and rearranged a few other plants too. When I had a red barclaya in my big tank (600 tall) under halide it stayed quite short (maybe 15-20cm tall), so it will be interesting to see how it grows in this setup. Tank pretty much looks the same but got another photo anyway.
  12. New plants today: Red Barclaya and Aponogeton rigidifolius
  13. Keep trimming it, when it starts getting too lanky trim it and throw the bottom half away. Works with most types of stem plants to bush them up a bit
  14. 10mm is pretty thick for only 300 high
  15. Yea just put it up when you want to take photo's. Would be hard work trying to look big and tough all day then try and tend to two females.
  16. I would recommend breaking up that lot into smaller plants and planting them individually. You'll get a carpet effect quicker that way.
  17. Connect it up to the outflow after the water has gone through the filter. I tried putting mine on the intake but the bubbles made too much noise inside the filter.
  18. trademe has a few. ebay is cheap

    New hardscape

ooooh this is going to be a cool tank. Nice work so far!
  20. I saw these guys last week and they did look a bit more "skitz" than any other cories I've had or seen. Didn't even think about them breeding but it could be possible
  21. Cool way of mounting the out-take of the filter. You will get a nice, calm ripple-effect going from that halide now! So soothing.
