Also might help if you look for UM I use 50um in the shop and occasionally get 75um These are plenty think enough though when I ship I double bag them as well Brad

Well any media will clog up if you let it get dirty I have been running Matrix for years and its still as good as the day I bought it And Bioballs are going to clog up alot more then most media for the way the balls are designed Brad

Alot of fish will jump out of your tanks given the opportunity Also the flipping on the ground more then likely caused him to move so far from the tank I once found a Pleco when I got to work near the door around 8 metres from his tank He was hard and covered in fluff but he survived once I put him back in water Brad

Ahh thats a no Bioballs are an ok filter media but I dont rate them at all AT least out of the water they function but underwater they are virtually ineffective The pumice will have a huge surface area and will still function underwater I wouldnt waste ur time and money replacing them Brad

I used to play but I quit when I was 17 I was playing of 2 then Its just became to stressful, and I didnt enjoy it anymore I have been back a few times every 3 or 4 years usually only play for a few months and stop again Each time I generally start again on about 10 and get to 7 and leave again lol Oneday I wanna get back into it but I dont know when Quite a few of my mates who I played with as Juniors have become Pro's Brad

A PH of 7.6 isnt high though if a fish came a PH of 6 its a big jump How old is your test kit a 10% change shouldnt affect it that much straight away though how long after the water change did you restest the PH If it was straight away its possibel te water hadnt completely mixed and u got a sample of main tank water Think of mixing chocolate milk for the idea Brad

If you use an airsytone at the same time your going to be releasing alot of Co2 out of your tank It will lower your PH if you use it to much but if it is turned off at night you should be fine Though the Hardness levels with show you there Also I cant see it suffocating your fish I run 5 bubbles a sec into my tank and the fish are fine I also use no airstones Brad

I dont think I have seen a True species of either in Australia as when they were first imported they both came in as Red Devils and from then on been breeding with either Id say it would be the same in NZ If it was me Id be calling it a Red Devil and not going by a scientific name as you can be sure either way I know my male and female looked Midas to me but threw Lab babies with big lips Brad

It works great with alot of species but generally the Africans Americans dont want hidey holes they want the whole tank so this wont exactly work Though I know when I get down to a few Oscars they tend to fight thugh when it is full there isnt even an arguement Its great for raising up Alto's but also having a bare tank helps Brad

For the top of the range I wouldnt go past the Brand new Malawi Cichlids in their Natural Habitat 4th ed Although its not cheap its one of the best books you can buy and all the information is upto date Or the back to Nature range is also great for a cheap alternative Brad

Another problem with Beef is the fat is a different fat then fish are used to consuming and they dont digest it as well Brad

Maybe you should reread the post I said it went to sleep very quickly but didnt die straight away Yeah he died not long after but still being asleep as this process is taking place ensures it pain free Have you ever had surgery? Did you feel the knife cut into your body? How many younger members are you going to encourage to use a knife when using clove oil is a safe alternative Brad

I bought it from the Chemist but I think health food shops sell it as well Its mainly used for tooth aches as it numbs the pain very well Brad

Clove oil has been used on humans for anesthetic b4 and with the correct dose you ill wake up will no ill effects I agree with some types though people have been known to just become paralyzed not unconscious though you will know also this is extremely rare so I doubt it is going to be common with fish either Brad
