  2. all i can say is wow.. all your fish are beautiful. im sitting here thinking about if i can fit 2 in my big tank.. i think u have converted me to pancake fish woul be a nice challenge too... *goes off to think*
  3. will the eggs be ok on the heater? they are stunning fish. i could spend all day looking at them. Realy wishing i had more room for tanks...
  4. i cant read txt at all, It comes with the dyslexic territory (2 'r's or 1 'r' ???) in fact if people could write everything as they say it. Sortof like WOK / Amazonian language i would be able to read it better and i wont get sore eyes .... please excuse any letters in the wrong order my brain gets confused and i cant tell if some letters are in the wrong order. maybe i should get my mum to check all my posts for me like she does with my uni work...

dont you hate tank troubles... grr. i love trade me but hate it at the same time...
  10. i just googled your new fishy.. very nice looking.. what kinda tank are you keeping him in? i would love a tank full of fancy plecos
  11. I would say a big NO to that one. being an owner of both a BGK and a clown ( diffrent tanks) the BGK is a bit of a girl and has problems finding his food and there is only one other fish in the tank . The clown on the other hand seems peacefull but has chassed our arowana ..so thats saying something. when it comes to knifes they realy need to be in a tank with as little compitition for food as possible as they wont fight for food and you will find u will have to hand or target feed them. knife fish need to be kept stressfree otherwise they can get sick and sick fast and its not cool trying to treat that much water. This is only personal opinion but its normaly said that you should only keep one knife fish to tank unless u have a huge tank as they like to hold large territories and are messy eaters. personaly i love knife fish but i think you need to give them some special treatment to bring out the best in them.. also a quiet tank will mean the knife comes out more in the light.
  12. oh i so love your tank... good to hear all the fishys are being friendly... fingers crossed it stays like that
  13. one of these days im going to get off my lazy ass and start a salty... you all have such tallent.. i might just need to come see most of these tanks in the flesh... i have the i wants now.. not good thing to have before christmass
  14. my BGK is in with a bisher and thay get along fine hes also in with congo tetras and a butterfly fish.. all the fish stay away form each other and i have not seen any agression even after lights out ( can see tank from in bed). you want to find fish that wont be in the same teritory or wont hog all the food unless u can target/ hand feed the BGK as they wont fight for food. i personalty would not keep a BGK with Cichlids or an aro. maybe try a bornio tiger fish or even a peacock eel..... i think as long as u have lots of room for the fish and none can fit in each others mouths and there is enough food you should be ok....
  15. my beta is curently living with neon tetras been like this for months now and they all get along fine..
  16. very very cool... where are the fishys living at the moment? love the pics with the kids, good to see them hard at work.
  17. thank you.. will google and see if they are ok with salts and try that
  18. i have a male betta that is happly living in one of my tanks but has become very fat in the last few weeks, its not dropsy as he has no pincone scales or anything, still eating and swiming fine, couler has not changed... i thorght he might just be consepated so tryed the whole no food for a few days then a pea trick but nuthing has happened.. all the other fish are fine.. does anyone have any ideas about what it could be.. its like a little ball hanging where his tummie should be and if it hits the light it looks like its full of fluid or clear stuf. will try get a pic
