hi everyone, i was wondering what u would do if presented with a 4X2X2 foot tank with all the gear ect..but no fish what would u chose and why also exact number of each fish,and do u consider ur stocking levels ok or under/over stocked just trying to get idears. thanks in advance

i love them too. im getting my first one as soon as my big tank is cycled if u look on the net u can find out heeps about them and u can even hand feed them. so excited if u want any info just pm me

well i still dont know whats up with my tank but i have got a phosphate pad and put it in my filter and hopefully that will clear it all up. thanks for all ur help

i promess u all that i allway rince with tank water and never all the filter at once it has two sponges so only rince one at a time also i change carbon about once a month i know all about the cycle and everything so u dont have to worrie about that iv been in to fish for quite a few years. any other idears about getting rid of the whote cloude ???? with out killing my fish and snail

thanks for that its just my little comunity tank, it has been set up for well over a year now so not new tank. there is 3 plattys,4neons and 1 apple snails.so deffinatly not over stocked filter get rinced every so offten so not full of goop also has carbon in it. im the only one who feeds them an i know how much to give there so wated food sitting about.no real plants (apple snail thinks they are yum) and no dead fish i feel clueless about this one must be algae (yes it is white cloudy) but how do i kill it off naturally

in the last week i have noticed the water in my litle 2 foot tank starting to cloud up and its worring me as i can see no problems all water tests normal no new fish added.been doing regular water changes ect.nothing out of the ordernary realy but the water has clouded up and i normaly have crystial clear water. any idears anyone.

hi fellow bichir owners. do any of you know how to sex both the Albino senegal and the Delhezi? i was told that if the senegal has a fatty anal fin then its a male but i dont know the truth in that..... i would love to know the sex of my ones...

yes lots of little tanks and yes do they take up a lot of room but they are so beautiful. i will have to get the digi cam out and snap off some pics. it takes a bit of time ot do water changes and takes 2 of us a hour each night to feed all the "little" buggers. good to know there are more nz people out there with nice big oddball fish.just wish i could get some of the more exotic fish

hay thanks for that i might just have to pop into chat later tonight as say hello to u all. my bf got me started with fish (the little comunity tank) a few years back. i find i have more luch with the big fish then the pretty little ones plus i love the fact i can hand feed the monsters. cant wait to set up my 4 foot iv been planning that since october last year and final am geting it. hi everyone i live in torbay north shore and have kept fish for awile now this is a list of my tanks and fish. 2 foot-comunity tank fish-gold spot pleco (hes just growing a bit so he wont get eaten in the big tanks) -2 kulie loches -4 black neon tetras -3 platys(2 girls, 1 boy) 7 foot-oddball tank -silver arowana -fire eel -red spot pleco -royal knife -3 clown loches small 5 foot-grow out tank at the moment (all fish will be moved to a 5x2x2 foot tank in the next month or so) -albino bisher -pibahizi bisher(cant spell) -clown knife -tire track eel -bonio tiger (moving to 4 foot) -upside down cat fish 3x2x2 foot tank - female oscar (her mate jumped ) soon will be getting a 4x2x2 foot tank -black ghost knife -bonio tiger -goldspot pleco(from 2 foot) - pecock eel -african buterfly fish as u can see mts has set in and is runing ramped. got to love my big fish
