oh you got one. Arnt they so cute! We got our bichir (Polypterus delhezi) at about that size. When i saw them today i so wanted to take one home but since we got rid of the big tanks thats not a possiblility.

will single dose florish excle be ok for ricca?

Most of them are swiming around the frount of the tank now. Only the blue one seems a bit shy.Did a water change yesterday and they coped with it really well. Just cant wait to have them all eating happly.

Hi everyone On sunday i got 4 discus 1x blue dimond 1x piggon 1x red mellon 1x rose/turquose cross Im so excited as iv been waiting months to save up for them and finaly they are here. Its now wednesday and they seem ok but the blue and the piggon are not eating that much. Only about twice a day and only a little bit. Just wondering what other people experianced when their discus were settling in? Im feeding them the same stuf the shop was feeding and the other two are happly eating. All are heathy fish from a well known shop supliying good quality fish. Tanks has been set up for years, water quality is perfect and they are fine with their tank mates and decorations ( wood & plants). Will get some pics one i clean the glass, they are stunning fish.

its deffinatly up to the individual fish i would say.. the one we had thorght nothing of shreading its tank mates...

i belive it might of of been both of then naughty boys they are.. fish has diffrent bite marks on them and some wernt chewed

oh how exciting.. the mum and dad are stunning so i cant wait to see the bubs...

still no bubbles.. i was naughty and gave it a bit of a shake.. one bubble came out... Set it up with warm water... if it still sucks by tomrrow i think i will add some more yeast.. sealed all tightly so that should not be a issue... cant wait for it to start working... im like a little kid with a new toy

Gark well no bubbles as of yet . could not find the check valve and the bf said i was not alowed to shake the thing ( might do it while he is at work ). i think tonight i will bring it up from under the tank and put it on top maybe this will work. my room is realy warm so that should not be a prob. the defuser thingi is by my filter outlet yippi. if it still sucks by tomrrow i might add a tad more yeast... Im so impationt ( wow i realy cant spell today) so the probaly does not help i want pretty plants now!!!! :lol:

it came pre messured white sugger, yeast ( in little bag) and stabilyser.. have no clue what this is.... what do you use in your DYI system?

yes thats the one mel. have not seen bubbles yet but will keep looking. im nto to worried but bf is lol since he paid for it an all. will keep a look out. Alan. that sounds like a fab idea exept i dont drink and i cant stand the smell of beer plus the tank is in my room so beer smelling room not so good and the bf would drink it all.

Bf got me a co2 kit for my little planted tank.. we set it up last night (7.30ish pm). Its the one with the yeast,white suger and stabilser( what is this any one know?). in instructions it said you would be able to see the bubbles after 2- 10 hours of it being set up. its now 11.47 am and still no bubbles? Any idears anyone? only thing i can think of is that the tubing is long as its set up under the tank. but that should not be a problem say's instructions.
