Did a bit of moving stuf around today.. Some of my green hairy mushrooms had split so i wanted to move them to give them more space... Gosh they are slippery things and are hard to stick.. for ages we had to chatch them and re stick them in to a gap with our fingers grossed they would happly stick. Also my little purple mushrooms are all over the show so am eventualy wanting to stick them to one rock as they are sprinkled every where at the mo.. We tryed to catch some brissle worms but they are faster then they look.. little buggers.. And we spoted a baby star fish in the tank.. moves very slowely.. while doing all this the cleaner shrimp tryes to ambush our handss for a free ride.. Classic little critter... How are everyone elces tanks?

Maybe thats the one you droped a rock on???

Sorry about our anemone! silly thing! Wish we could tie them down some how..

That would of been a pain wasp! I will be getting one next week fingers crossed.

Ira : I think you have the wrong person mate! I would never catch some thing and chuck it in my tank.... I did not catch it! I was given it with my tank... And it was out of a book! Thanks for ruining my day

Yep he is a perpermint. looked in a book at hollywoods and thats what he looks like! I gave them some blood worms and they seemed to like them..

wow Beautiful fish you have there. what about getting a large tank and dividing it up as say hollywood in albany has done? If you get stuck i do have some 1 footer tanks you can borrow just to stop them fighting in the mean time. I think my fave is the white one...

So we took the plunge and added some thing to the tank yesterday.... A cleaner shrimp! I think i have gone off fish. I just want lots of little critters. ( If any one has a hermit crab that needs a new home let me know) Did my tests and everything it fine.. Realy sick of the hydrometer thingi so going to get a refractometer thingi asap.. Everything looking good so far. Got some more cycled ( live) rock for sump and everything is looking happy. Plus i have brissle worms! My pepermint shrimp is lazy and sleeps/hides all day long and the corals are all out and being beautiful... * goes off to look at tank* p.s. what do i feed my shrimp? Can i feed them shrimp? or is that wrong ( bit like feeling human, human)

Good to hear the move went well and everything is safe! You are now a proud salty owner. Feels good i hope.

I had a read about them and lots of people comented that they think they came on plants, A fav being indian fern! Most tanks have them in tini quanitys but if you feed a diet rich in protin they can become more pronounced. No harm done to the fish and mine are to stupid to eat them lol

Not everyone loves fish as much as you do! Set up a huge tank for a friend, put lots of work and time in to setting it up right and making sure it was seeded with my filter gunk... Friend just does not care and does not understand that if you dont do the water changes ect the fish will start dying... Wish we sold the 7 foot tank to some one elce now. At least it would of been looked after proparly.

a good mix should help it along. I made mine in a tub with a air stone bubbling away... worked well,

some are out and looking fine but 3 bit are looking pretty mushy and dead looking!

The little drowl guys are brillent.. I like the puddle under the seccond one! Tank is all fine this moring. No more wet carpet! Some of the corals (xenia i think) dont look to flash! And my little red strippy shrip is happly hiding in a cave. I think this thing for creepy crawleys.. shrimp and a hermit crab would be cool...

All fixed.. Dad saved the day with the plumbers tape and we soon got that sorted .. Everything electrical works !!!! And corals are packing a sad.. One death.. Glass shrimp!!! Poor little bugger, I realy liked him aswell. Better luck next time. Im off to bed with my chocolate.. sorry wilson your to far away to share.

lol we are... I think my little bro is on to something.. got to start at the end and work way to the bit we realy need pulled apart lol... So um iv had a salty tank for um 6 hours and it still has not been fully set up lol... I need chocolate...

found some plumbing tape.. pulled off the silicone ( was easyer getting it off then going on) and now doing our best to undo the plumbing.. is there a secret here no one is telling me cause i can not get it off... I see why the hobby is dominated bu boys now lol.....

Plastic! Just emptyed the tank as we throught that same thing with the pressure of water.. will try blow drying it a bit to give it some help drying.... Its right where one bit joins another by the treads.... Luckly I have the corals floating in some warm water I had made up a few days ago...poor little things.. and lucky i was loaned some more water jerry cans as they have been fab as i brought home about 80L...

Gark!!!!! We went and picked up our lovely little salty tank today and Jetting was brillent on letting us know what was what... Got it home all safely but have found a leek in the overflow plumming. spent better part of last 2 hours trying to patch it up with silicone but still a little drip excapes and its driving us mad! Does anyone have any siliconing tips? Its just one drip slowely finding a new way out every time....

worked a treat in my tank aswell/ pretty cool stuf.

Iv got one! Had it set up for about 3 months now.. went from greenish clowdy looking water to crisp clear stuf.. Realy recomend and eazy to use and look after too.

Well im just about to go mix some water up.. This is all pretty daunting to tell you the truth. Im a silly woman and like to make sure everything is perfect. Jetting at least you know its going to a good home!!! I managed to get some water containers for the trip home so i can bring back at least 40 L, maybe more. Bf is no help lol he has gone out to a concert and drinking... ( but he did clean the discus tank lol) All your sugestion and help has been wonderful, muchly appreciated! 2 more sleeps to go! Ya i realy am like a little kid. Did not get to do this as a kid so im making up for lost time. Bring on the sharp learning curve
