  1. It's $1630 canadian dollars
  2. Whatch it, lets not get personal. I love my Malawi to pieces ( not literally)  I think they're all wonderful, Angels and DIscus ar both Cichlids and the are both fans of acidic and wonderful fish.
  3. Thats like asking which child you love more ( not that i have any) I like my Community tank because all the fish are so different, and i'm able t grow lush plants but i like my african because they are all really active fish with alot of attitude. They nip and chase each other a bit but with 18 it's pretty well spread out. I found Malawi were the most common here thats why i got them, more people breed them around here. It's good if you can find breeders, i picked up all 18 for $70 when they can be like $25 each in shops for not a whole lot bigger. So really the answer is....... Hope that helps
  4. although cichlids can be agressive if you get fish of similar aggressiveness they can fend for themselves so aggression is not an issue.

how big are they now misnoma? I would have though an inchish would be fine.
  9. Because you don't have real plants there is no real need for a light as such, the room light should be sufficent for you to see your fishies. I would prehaps suggest getting a few more taller plants for the back, it will give your backing paper more realism i think if you did. I think it looks great though
  10. I think pumice is a good option cos i'm pretty sure it doesn't effect the pH of the water. River stones can often increase the pH, so the effect the matter has on the pH should be taken into account
  11. Just about everywhere around here they are usually $1.55 they have gone up at jansens in porana rd i think to just over $2
  12. I don't know caryl it may not poccur i Nature but i think the oragne/red fish on it look quite cool. Fully personal preference though

  16. It kinda depends on how big your goldfish are? If they were like 1-2 inches then i would have thought that would be ok, but if they where like 10 inches i would have definate concerns   You just have to realise that they won't stay there forever, they will need to be rehoused before they get to big

    6ft Tank

turtles would be fun, but huge investment, i'm trying to keep this tank to like a $200-$250 mark for the whole thing. Unless anyone wants to give me ten turtles, i think i'l go for the plants, but hey I'm getting some really good ideas for when can actually afford it!! Thanks heaps to you all
  18. That would be great, i can wait. If your heading up to drop something off to misnoma then i can always drop past his place to grap some cuttings if you leave them with him and he's cool with it.

  21. I'm about to fill my 6ft tank with plants, i want to get it really heavily plant, i'm going to have like 2 fish so it will be an only plant tank. If anyone has off cuts or trimmings they don't want any more I am more than willing to take off you hands, wil probably pick up from anywhere on northshore otherwise will pay for postage. Looking to get as many different typres of plants as possible, just about any size cutting would be great.
