Ira
I miss my lawnmower blenny. He never seemed to make a huge dent in my hair algae, but was nice and fat until it disappeared then he wouldn't eat anything else.

wasp
Here's mine He is a slightly different model to Fays, he's a seaweed blenny, as opposed to Fays which is a lawnmower blenny. Both these types only eat algae and will often starve to death once it's gone, but sometimes they will catch on to eating normal fish food. I got mine a few years ago to attempt to control my nasty algae problem. But the seaweed blenny is not as effective as the lawnmower blenny so in the end I went zeovit which did get the tank cleaned up. But then the blenny went skinny as I had to go collecting algae covered rocks to keep him alive. It took a few years but eventually he figured out how to eat fishfood so now he's fine. Today he was even hunting down and eating live shrimps that I put in. He's even figured out I'm the guy who puts the food in & he keeps a close eye on me, I think he's got a few brains. Anyway they are ugly, but cool.
Fay
I agree Wasp: They will starve to death if you can't give them algae, I live by the beach and have found something mine will eat but it means regular trips to collect it. Please don't buy one if you are unable to feed it what it needs.

Control
Its a case of how clean do you run your tank compared to what you want to put in it. Not always an easy thing to balance as a clean tank is the best way to go. Fay that tank looks fantastic, great work.
warick hearn
lawnmower blennies are (one) of the only fish that will eat all the bubble algie as well apart from foxfaces....

Fay
Anemones DUMP I thought you would know that. FROM ANEMONE FAQ: Anemones shrink and expand as a way of regulating their internal water chemistry and flushing wastes fom their bodies!!
