Been toying with setting up a few tanks to raise fry in, will need about 10 to 20 tanks so they can be kept seperate. Looking at those warehouse plastic storage bins as tanks and running them all off one sump. Still need to be isolate each if necessary and make it as cheap as possible, plastic container and lid for water inflow plastic hair curler as comb for out flow, elbow screwed into 25mm bulkhead hair curler from $2 shop before diassembly neta irrigation fitting for controlling flow thru silicon airline tube return thru 25mm pipe to 100mm drainage pipe return and 800litre sump some container and return pipes inflow adjusters into 25mm id pipe control tap to ensure flow is kept up to individual pipes wide open and pipe is full drain pipe is 1/3rd full of water the whole setup so far Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

First things going in the tanks are 24 Pleurobranchaea maculata for study on toxicity http://www.sciencelearn.org.nz/Contexts ... -sea-slugs once that is finished then it is onto breeding and raising larval nz marine fish 500 litres of fresh NSW going into system each week have a 200 litre drum of cycled live rock ready to go into sump sump is currently dark, constructing a tower filter for it at the moment Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
