Jaide
I'm in pain today - I did two insane workouts at the gym yesterday and now I ache all over - I literally had to roll out of bed this morning (good thing I sleep on a futon or the drop to the floor would have been quite hard) as standing (let alone walking) is a lot of pain and effort :-? Caryl
Invercargill finally showed us some sun today. I walked into the Queen's Park this morning (while Grant went to the truck museum - I have seen it 2x which was enough for me but he was happy to see it a 3rd time) and had a good look around. They have a big aviary in there and a number of animals too. Then went to the museum and met Harry the tuatara. We then went to Bluff and had a lovely lunch at The Drunken Sailor, went up to the lookout, then back into town as Grant wanted to visit a man specialising in 1950's/60's sports cars who also builds replica early Jaguars and Ford GT40's. We were going to fly to Stewart Island but it was very rough and windy and I don't travel well so we decided to do that another time. Tomorrow we head to Queenstown, stopping on the way for a trip on the Kingston Flyer :happy1:
Godly3vil
The drunken sailor is excellent isn't it! Also that is my friends father that builds the replica GT-40's they're amazing and really scary to drive. The aviary at QP is a little run down lately but it is still one place I visit every time we take my daughter to the park, I have built up quite a good relationship with the 1 footed kea and the galahs always seem to like having a whistling contest with me. Caryl
Very tasty. We had blue cod followed by banoffi pie (so big I even gave some to Grant!!! Something previously unheard of!!) Here is a link to the photo in the Otago Daily Times. We are in it (for those who can find us)

Caryl
We are sitting in the Kingston railway station waiting for our ride on the Kingston Flyer. For those who don't know, it is a steam train. It poured all the way from Invercargill to here and I fear it will still be raining when we get to Queenstown  We will be on Cue TV at 5.30 apparently 8)

Sheepsnana
someone needs to put the forum clock forward an hour. Actually, it's YOUR setting. ucp.php?i=165 has an option for DST.

Caryl
We are now at Franz Josef. It snowed at Queenstown and we were able to play in it at the top of the Cardona Ranges. Top down all day, with sunshine, until just before Franz Josef when it started to rain with a bit if hail. Had a meal at Speights. Nicely presented but otherwise noting to write home about. Tomorrow will probably head up the glacier then heading further up the coast, to spend the next night at the Blackball Hilton.

camtang
I didnt pay enough attention when I unplugged a air stone earlyer today, forgot to take the stone out. turns out water enjoys syphining out a air stone more then it likes staying in a tank.
