ok well i decide after seeing dbden 7ft planted tank i would like to try do one so here go

Tank : 120 x 45 x 45

Lighting : 4 T5HO 54W at the moments 4xwhite tube, but will be changing to 2x grow lux and 2x white

Filteration : a fluval 305 , soon to add an ehiem 2026 and maybe an internal filter later on

Plants : 2x amzon swords , 1x green tiger lotus , 20x pygmy chain swords , 40 stems of stairgrass, 15 stems of ambuila, some stag horn and some small crypts from dbden and some other sword cant rember the names of

Fish : 4X albino cories, 4xalbino sterbai cories,4x sterbai cories , 2x juli cories

2x brown long finned bristlenose, 4x albino longfinned bristlenose, 3x blackline flying foxes

7x electric blue rams , 1x pair of wild cockatoos, 6x rummey nose, 10x albino snakeskin guppies

2x blue diamond discus, 2x colbalt discus

I will up data as i think of it

Substrate: Daltons aquatic mix 3cm thick, daltons propergating sand 1.5cm thick , fine black gravel 4cm thicK

Fertlizers : flourish excel , flourish iron

i am also planning to add co2 :bounce: , but im still planning that

Looks good! You'll find even the diy co2 kit (can't remember the name) with the built in ladder makes all the difference. I was adding ferts and managing the lights but I was amazed what happened as soon as I added the cheap and cheerful co2 - big time healthy growth.

yeah i had diy co2 before but i have removed it to make way for a pro setup, cause i got tired of mucking around every week with the yeast and sugar

ahh, then you already know I'm over it too and will go pro on the next one. It's got to be so much easier.

yeah i heard that a 6kg co2 bottle last 1-2 months so that saves me time and they are cheap to fill up only $80 , that saves me buyind 2 cups of sugar a week, plus the yeast , and to clean it is a hassle

my 6kg lasts between 8-12months and thats on a 220litre?

Your tank is nowhere near Dutch, it's just a big jungle! But a very, very cool jungle . I actually prefer your tank to a professional Dutch layout, because it looks so natural and I think its cool how there are all those catfish hidden away in there. It has inspired me heaps, and I'm now not convinced that an ADA-style tank is the best path for me, so I'm considering doing something like yours for my next large setup.

That's why I said kind of like, but ive cropped the tank a lot over the last week and got loads of new plants so fingers crossed.

ok so today i add the fish and they are settling in well

the cories 4x sterbai, 2x juli, 4x albino sterbai, 4x albino

the long finned bn pair, and 3 blackline flying foxes

some albino male guppies and a 3/4 black male that im growning for show

5 x electric blue rams and a pair of wild cockatoos

the 6 rummery nose ( planning on breeding them)

the 4 discus

ummmm .... :oops: , i think it will be ok because i filled it 50% up with water from another tank, and i used a filter that i have had running on the tank previously, and i used, used gravel so should have enough good bacteria , and i tested it with a couple of guppies for 2 days

wow your lucky. arent you quite young? how do you get all your money for these wonderful fishand tank set ups ?

yes im only 15, and i buy all my fish with money i have earned from breeding and selling fish

and my grandad is a builder so he helps me make the tanks and the stands
