The quote I made was written incorrectly as I was meant to say I don’t sell things for the sake of it to make money. I aim to only sell quality products, you don’t see me selling cheap stuff to make a buck.
Hobbyist don’t understand the difference between gross profit and net profit. They are vastly different. Net profit allows for expenses and interest.
Sure you purchased the skimmer at a cheap price but Exchange rates have changed quite a lot in the last 3 months (about $400), which you have not even taken, into account.
Then there is also GST to pay on the final sale price and various other charges.
For example air freight is a killer when doing it in bulk as you got so many additional charges it is hard to keep up vs a few items through the post office.
What about warranty?? For example i had to get a new pump for a Deltec as it was faulty?? so who pays for this? replacement pumps dont arrive with fresh air.
I stated the thread to test a Beckett skimmer and can’t see were i bagged the Beckett, all I stated was that the bubble size was larger and testing was in early stage. I even did not mention Deltec .
The whole post has turned to custard again due to ill informed hobbyist, why don’t you focus your energy in doing something useful like stopping the quarantine period for marines increasing to 4 weeks or try to get fish medication approved.
The last maf project turned to crap, as all the moaners again did nothing to improve the allowable list.
Some people have spent weeks on this project for no gain. Who pays for this?? Who pays for the, ink, paper, toll call etc???
As usual it is always left to a select few who want to make a difference.
Actually I would challenge the moaners to actually list something they have done to improve the hobby?
What ever i write will go in one ear and out the next. so it is a waste of time me writing this response. But I wrote it anyway.
