BG, in a tank is a good site to start.
MAKE SURE you have a tight fitting lid, they can jump like rockets.
Even thru that gap between the lid and side of the tank.
To prevent this, use a length of garden hose cut to the right length,
leave JUST enuf room for air-lines and power leads,
then split it length wise
slip this over the tank's side
Hey Presto
No more gap.
Make a breeding mop, that is just acrylic wool, thick, not the thin strand, and
colour doesn't really matter but with the darker wool it is easier to see the eggs.
this is a floating mop, and the fish will spawn any where up or down it
You make it by wrapping the wool about 20 times around a 200mm book.
Tie it off tightly at one end of the book. Then cut thru the strands the opposite end
Fluff it out, tie on a wine bottle cork, or block of polystyrene, your mop is made.
Feed all types of food, but live food is relished.
I pick the eggs daily as the parents will eat them if the can find them.
Hatch the eggs about 14 days after laying and then feed BBS then onto ground flake, etc.
babies can be cannibalistic, so watch the sizes, or you'll end up with a few big ones.
