    palmy water??

Apparently, Palmie has several supply loops of water. According to friend of mine, only one of these loops are suitable for fish. Why not collect rainwater, (you have a bit of that down there), or does it get blown away with that wind. Another way is to go and have a chat with a neigbour of WP's and tell them at the end of the year, you'll drop off a tray of the brown stuff at Xmas, for the use of their water. Check the water from the petrol station nearby, fill with gas, and have some plastic containers in the back of the car. There are a lot of variations to paying for it. After all, it just comes thru the tap at Wp's Alan 104
  7. I had that blu-eye Midas I got it's parents I think, from Frans, when he was importing from down at Tokoroa, the Hamilton club did a trip down there. Maybe Dave or Rob could fill you in on how long ago that was. That other one or that species came in the same shipment. I actually thought they were illegal imports. ??? I am looking for a male by the way. Alan 104
  8. A lot of animals depend on the temperatures during pregnancy and incubation for the ratio of the sexes. Just thought if you did some at 18, 25 and 30, and see if you get a sex ratio difference. Wouldn't hurt trying Alan 104
  9. Try a change of temperatures LB Might be worth a try. Alan 104
  10. What did they cost LB.? Prices vary throughought the country, up here they can reach $4, a bit steep. I met a breeder while at Napier, he told me he had got up to $1.75 from the shops. Alan 104

  20. Erling and I have arrived back to the Bayof Plenty safely Ditto the above. Great to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. We did an escort of some Aucklanders to Taupo WARNING Please check your gas tank before returning home. It can make the trip quite a bit longer. My fish have all been returned to their respective homes. Roll on the next show. A birdie whispered in my ear, that a certain person  that said they would have approximately 3000 visitors was bang on, well, near enough. Good work team. Alan 104
