    Oscars

It should be fine. Depends on the personality of the oscar - I've had small bottom feeding fish (8cmish) in with oscars before and things have been fine.
  2. Golden algae eaters are just the albino form of the Chinese algae eaters. Both kinds like to attack other fish.
  3. Try testing your tap water, it might have a high level of nitrates in it.
  4. Yeah but noone could have really taken me seriously when I said "The secret [to breeding your fish] is to create as many topics on internet forums as possible about whatever flashes into your mind at the moment of posting, even if the information you are requesting is only a google search away."
  5. Yeah, it's called sarcasm, it's obviously a little too subtle for some. Don't give it another thought.
  6. It's just copying and pasting really, copy the URL of the image and paste it inbetween some img tags. Takes a good 10 seconds.

  8. You realise I was kidding though, right? A joke? Like hahah get a sense of humor?
  9. I usually just siphon them off using the hose from the bottle. A little salt never hurt anything.
  10. Try taking the male out for a few days then add him to the tank again (keep him in another tank in the meanwhile though!), you may find they get down quite soon after that.
  11. Agasizzi aren't always peaceful. I had two males in a 4ft tank and they harrassed everything - a breeding pair of full size Angels, my clown loaches (killed one of them), siamese fighters and my school of 21 cardinal tetras.
  12. A good alternative to neons is the Cardinal Tetra. They're bigger than the neon so Angels can't eat them and they're more colourful too.
  13. I myself was moved to tears by such a touching post. Group hug everyone.
  14. Well yes, but there will always be some that go into reeds or whatever where the bigger ones couldn't reach, which is where the smaller ones will come in handy.
  15. And what's that supposed to mean, Nickyboi? 'People like me'. I was kidding, it was a joke. You don't need to be so inflammatory.
  16. It's just preparing a place to lay it's eggs.
  17. Smaller oscars work too, they're quicker and can fit into smaller places. A combination would work well 8)
  18. The secret is to create as many topics on internet forums as possible about whatever flashes into your mind at the moment of posting, even if the information you are requesting is only a google search away.
  19. Having multipule females with a male is fine Alex, what you've been told is correct.
  20. Why not, Discusguru? It's extremely porus. My local pet shop uses it in their CFS, it does the job well
  21. Golden Algae Eaters are Chinese Algae Eaters. Get some Golden ancistrus instead if you like the colour
  22. I've had mine kill corydoras and each other before. Don't trust them with small fish, I put mine in with some oscars and it straightened up.
  23. Just exchange the tag with the tag if the image is too big, I really wouldn't have thought it would be this much of an issue!
  24. Niloc has a huge bristlenose, not sure of the exact measurement of it but it's definately over 10cm if not 15.
