GeeTee, i just gave them a good wash or scrub , the water stayed clear and the fish seem happyer than ever

i got the ar-nite from Auckland about 8 months ago for $42 a sach ( used about 1/2 of that ) and the lime stone was $30

7.4 at the momment but i expect it to rise , hopefully slowly ( with the help of a lot of water changes if need be )

Hi Luke i just gave them what the books said they like including there own tank, fed them well and did a dayly cool water change, the fish were good healthy specamins from and experianced breeder and already in good shape, i just helped them along the way

Hi Everyone. I have some of these really cute barbs there silver in colour with bright red lips ( hence the name ) but i just can't seem to find and scentific name or any info on the net sort of a couple of personal picture of peoples fish. Does anyone else have these ( they have been sold in a number of shops including Wonderworld and Animates ) and have been able to find out much about them ? anything would be a help , thanks

a couple of days before i had eggs i just did a lot of reading gave them just what the books said they liked and feed them good quality food, followed by water changed with water 2-3 degrees cooler than there tank water. Bingo !

Hi I was lucky enough to get a few of these amazing little guys off a local breeder and set them up in there own tank and now I'm over the moon to say have babies , just three hatched so far with another 4 or 5 from the same batch of eggs looking promising and a 2nd batch of 6 eggs layed yesterday , I've never had cory's before but now totally understand the people who do and love them so much !! such cute little guys , i just had to share the good news :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

how do you churn them out improperly ?? or is it just bad breeders churning them out ?

and you know i have heaps but still to young to sex/breed.

So Sorry to hear of your bad luck again Caryl, there is nothing you can do about things like that as you said been ok for 10 years !. I've got no rosy barbs but if you want some golden barbs next time your up this way or black ruby barbs I'm happy to give you some. hope the rest are ok just hiding.

My Gold G's have now been going at it for more than 4 hours , i just want them to finish so i can remove the female ( and maybe male ) and get to bed myself ....lol
