Completed my sump box. lights running opposite hours to Main display. still cycling...... This is on the SOUTH side of the unlandscaped portion of the house. I Will landscape around it!!

A good sized skimmer will almost skim it overnight.

Nothing, special, same bulbs as i am running now...just an Italian ballast unit......And 150 watts gruntier! Real good price. Venture bulbs.

Got the bugger last night, forgot to take a pic...was too hasty to get him in the sump....Looks exactly like the one in the latest thread about crabs except a touch whiter in colour.

My advice would be to see other peoples tanks and follow the one you like best, before you start spending money on an expensive setup you may not want.

I just removed one exactly the same just last night...been trying for about a week after reading a thred by WESTY. He HAS been eating the tips off two of my best Acros.....He is now in the sump for some time out! I had to pull half the god damn reef apart to get him.

i still prefer to have a constant source of poo. This rock was only 4 days out of an established system, so was pretty clean. The ammonia is gone already and the nitrobacter is half way kicked in. I still need to feed the ammonia.

he poos for me! and the Nitrosomonas eats it up....you should know that Reef. Keeps the biological system turning.

Added Microlene filter today, which feeds automatic leveling system for evaporation. Also added yellow belly damsel into tank to assist cycling. Tank is in full sun all day, so will be very natural to the fish! Granite slab for display tank should be ready by saturday. Sump is fully covered, so evaporation will be minimal. once connected to display, things will change!

I use Ozone on my spa pool to reduce the amount of Chlorine I add.........That says enough for me!!!

Be careful with ozone. Very powerful antibacterial cleanser. Dosed wrong and all your inhabitants will be fried. It is as powerful as chlorine. Good luck and hope it does the job you're after. Can I ask the reason you are using it?
