  1. YAY....congrats......it is so awesome watching those little wriglers turn into lil fishies.
  2. Oh OK....are you a member there yet? you gotta join us or I can put the pics up here as well LOL
  3. It's alright ..... my impatience has been cured for now LOL...I have spent most of the day swapping two fishtanks around. My fighter babies are now in a little more water.....and the tank has been moved. My guppy tank is in a new position ....also did a bit of rearanging in the tank.....removed the plattie fry and put my lonely albino cory in there. I don't have to recycle my 3 ft tank when it is cured do I?......have all the water, gravel, filter etc in the smaller tank where they are now......would it be alright to swap it all back over when the silicone has cured?
  4. I know this is cheeky but................... here is the link http://poecilia.net.nz/members/messages/?view=single_thread&cat_uid=1&conf_uid=1&thread_uid=40
  5. HAHA I know Alan.....but geez it's sooooooooooo hard to wait PMSL The tank is a 3ft
  6. I got my brother-inlaw ( a builder) to reseal my tank for me.....he decided to redo all the seals at the same time, just to be safe. The cure time states 72 hours (Selley Glass) But being impatient and short of time.....has anyone refilled any sooner than 72 hours? It has been 24 hours so far......and more poor fish look unhappy and cramped in the smaller rescue tank
  7. Well my fav girl finally past on....I'm guessing from old age She was a great little fish.....I am very lucky to have a few fry from her. My new male has up and dissapeared aswell......he has either jumped out of the tank....was a tiny space, so unlikely? If he died for some reason would my large applesnails......ummmmmmmm.........do the clean-up job?
  8. Well done on the pics....lovely tail on your new guy

  10. Hi & Welcome aboard....you have found a great place hear....full of awesome people
  11. I have a whole heap of babies.....and not too far away  They are all still tiny though, alot of growing to do before colours will come through. They will probably be from my purple males with orange tails......the males have gone to a shop in Dargaville, so I could concertrate on another colour type. I haven't found any great ones in Whangarei sadly....I got my last males in Jansens Silverdale.....but again....not a great selection there either. There is a lady in Whangarei that is breeding guppies, she is on trademe....might be worth a look Pm me for her trade name.
  12. Good luck....it's all very exciting to watch!!! I used a small square of bubblewrap to help my guy out.

    Hi everyone

Hi and welcome.....glad you found us! Make sure you find out how to cycle your tank as this is the 1st step in fish addiction  AS with your list I would find platties or guppies the easiest to start off with , just my opinion JMO, You may find 1 male to 3-4 females a good ratio......as the male are very ummmmmmmmmmm consistant in their approach Good luck and looking forward to hearing more from you
