  1. WOW...absolutely stunning and a very graceful fish. It looks like some hybrid of the zebra pleco
  2. heya, they will to a degree get use to larger water flow, but if you then stop that or one breaks down or something they'll freak out and have to readjust which isn't good
  3. Cool pics love the redspot. I had one that size originally now it's 15cm Loving the red on the kribs
  4. Hey Billaney great work especially given that they are diminishing in the wild fast. Can you describe how you bred them? tank size, conditions, spawning media? cheers

    Hercules on TM?

hehe what a wicked find. Imagine not knowing that was there for 5 years.
  6. Yeah if you want, most people boil it. PP kills anything organic
  7. Ah thought that might've been the wrong word to use my bad, but yeah I meant to kill the nasties
  8. That's good lighting. Maybe they need some other trace element.
  9. Always a good idea to sterilise with PP. Mix up some PP with water until the solution is pink in colour (not purple), then add the plants for half an hour. Rinse afterwards and you're set. Doesn't matter what plant.
  10. How many watts are you running? Mine do this a bit even under 400w MH
  11. Did the discus turn out okay quack? Here's a shot of a pair of my RSTG X RR breeders. The alphamale is front on so you can't see all of him in this shot
  12. I add fertiliser balls care of HandS to mine. You're right they're predominantly root feeders
  13. Do you feed any ferts? Probably lacking in some element

    Killie tank size

    Looks great Shane! Well done
  15. hah sorry I can eat enough food to sink a battleship by myself. Especially as I woke up at some undisclosed time today and have only had toast so far
  16. Coming but jetting 6:30 got a sweet aunty/uncle homecooking invite
  17. How do you get the container to sink? I've tried using a couple of small plastic containers with holes in the lid and peat at the bottom but they float. Should I weigh it down with gravel at the bottom or a sinker or something?
  18. Good one evil. All mine are still fine too. But I did do a 50% water change on the tank they went into first and added baking soda to bring up the pH to match their wild environment. They look cool and that wild look in their eye. I put the really small ones in a smaller tank so they wouldn't get eaten and I think one died but I hadn't raised the pH in that one.
  19. Hey Mystic and someone said the water temp was about 35degrees celsius. It was scolding hot in the mud in some places though and cooler in others
  20. Dave, King Molly Catcher and Mud Wrestler, enjoying a tasty molly fritter
