  1. Your parents contents insurance might cover it, I'd check it out
  2. own up and then claim on insurance
  3. Thats just so good to hear, sounds like a fabulous day for all concerned. I laughed about the quilt, maybe it could be like a bottomless cup and you can raffle it every week
  4. Good luck with the open day tomorrow. I'd love to be there but can't make it. Hope your weather forecast is as good as ours
  5. I forgot, I wouldn't recommend it for a baby's bed because of the buttons on it
  6. Glad its arrived safely. I really don't know what price to suggest because craft items never sell for much. If you would prefer to keep it and hang it in the office or somewhere, thats fine with me. Depending on how many attend the open day, you could probably get $100 for it if it was raffled at $1 a ticket.
  7. Fabulous photos, whatever the fish are. I think I recognised a shark!!!!!!
  8. Hi jc. No, the animals are printed on to the fabric. I sewed the black borders and then the coloured borders, and then joined it all together. Some of it is hand quilted and some is machine quilted. Thanks for all the compliments. I didn't post the picture for that reason though
  9. Sounds like it was a great day and congratulations to all who turned up. I spent the day finishing a small quilt which I will be sending up for the garage sale. If I post it on Monday it should be there in time.
  10. I plan to set up a small automatic payment - probably only $10 a month. If I could afford more, I'd make it more   Perhaps others could do the same - lots of lots of $10 a month would help make a difference.
  11. Shell shock is an excellent description - exactly what I would be feeling if I was in your shoes. Get as much rest as you can and eat plenty of weetbix - you will be back to normal in no time    I guess you will still have an ongoing battle to keep the park running and meet the mortgage repayments. I am sure there will be ongoing support from this forum to help with that. Give Caroline a hug from me - you have both been in my thoughts and she must be as shell shocked as you are.
  12. Just so long as she doesn't call in because she was just pissing by your doorway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just so thrilled at this outcome. The last two days have seemed so long and by late last night I was convinced it must be bad news ......... so this is just fantastic. Congratulations to you both. It's been a long hard fight and I imagine you must almost be in a state of shock now. Cheers Jude
  13. Phewww! Is it safe to uncross my eyes now or should I wait until Monday?
  14. You have been in my thoughts all week and I've had my fingers and toes crossed. Today I crossed my eyes as well. Has there been any news, or is there still time for the council to come through on Monday? You must both be under unbearable stress. I hope it helps knowing so many people care.
  15. We will all be there cheering you on I mean, in spirit
  16. Wow, you are a man of many talents - I still can't sweep a floor properly and I don't think I'll ever consider it an art
  17. does it have eyes on the front?
