  1. i wasnt complaining the fact is that i prefer to be nice to people that i deal with, especialy when they are the only local retailer of corals. And even without the money side of things people that say things like ill take you to the small claims court get very little if any respect from me.
  2. oh and reef im after that red acan/micromussa that you had a pic of before
  3. post some pics of your LPS folks ill get some up tonight
  4. go to court over 100$ i have better things to do with my time, like sleep
  5. turns out i can only make it 70 front to back (the cabinet wont fit in the door other wise) 800 is quite tall, id need 400w Mh for that wouldnt i?
  6. heres a few options 80x80x50 total of 80 gallons 320 litres 80x80x60 total of 96 gallons or 384 litres 90x80x50 total of 90 gallons or 360 litres 90x80x60 total of 108 gallons or 432 litres or taller??? 90 is about the max length i can manage and 80 deep is the most i can manage with out claires complete dissaproval obviously big is good but i also want the tank to look good whats everyones opinions??
  7. yeah thats what i need to measure to determine the max height that i can have, the length is what ever i can fit inbetween the door from the "lounge" and the table
  8. Well i've decided to go ahead and make a slightly larger tank regardless of where i live. its not going to be the 6- 8 foot i was planning but still bigger. dimensions i have in mind are about 700 long and 700 deep and 700 tall when i get home i measure the space and come up with more appropriate specs (im making it as big as the space will allow and the front door ) i'm in the process of sourceing the "starboard" and the decorative ply for the cabinet
  9. is the tank tropical or cold?
  10. hey chimera, what size are these bulk heads?? are they bulk heads??
  11. yeah but that was the straw that broke the fish's back. do much to do and not enough money to do it. so the plan is now to continue saving and look around in a few months
  12. that will teach you fay. in my opinion the easiest anemone would have to be the LTA (dorensis???) i think it shows with survival rates as well
  13. actually 20$, so very close chimera. yeah it says that it works best in a fluidised reactor but we'll see i've never used any phospate removing in my tank so i decided to give it a try
  14. , no more house. I had to withdraw the offer on the house because there was some water damage in one of the walls and the roofs in one of the rooms. So its back to the drawing board. I had a great plan too. wait who needs walls anyway, dont they just get in the way of having bigger fish tanks???
  15. After reading peoples differing opinions of rowaphos i decided i might give it a try. So i procured myself 100 grams of the stuff, and put it into the little sock thingy on the outlet of my skimmer. ill take some pics tonight and then twice a week from then on to see what the story is with this stuff and how my acro's do with it. obviously the test will not be accurate as its not the only thing that has changed recently but i think it will be interesting to see what happens
  16. he got a halide about a week after he got the anemone, so it gave it a few days to get used to the tank before blasting it with the MH i might take some pics when im over next reuben
  17. wasp had found someone from niwa or the like that was going to supply him a starting culture but he had to provide a more clinical environment (cause they thought coke bottles in the garage were'nt sterile enough you might want to give him an email pies and you guys might be able to sort something out
  18. its good to get a pic with something to give the size some meaning, i hate seeing all those acros and thinking that everyone is bigger than my tank now i know its only a few that are think ill have to find a tiny woman to stand in front of my new tank to give it a feeling of adsolute grandure, (ill just dress up my baby in big people clothes)
  19. if there's a part you want me to translate let me know
  20. well i have recently joined the 100x plus club my flow is not directed specifically aimed at any corals but due to the nature of the pumps the whole tank is now in constant movement. what type of powerheads/water movement devices are you using??
  21. reminds me of a tank on RC, they make me imagine the corals growing into one solid molti coloured mass in the shape of a tank
  22. nice tank, but his explanation is fairly drull he must live in Milan cause for two years in italy i never saw a fish store in the south or sicily one interesting thing is that he uses a pool pump for his return
  23. move is on the 20th. havent decided how "big" as i want to get a feel for the house fisrt then figure out where its going and then how big
  24. thanks everyone the flaming explosions might give it hawaiian volcanic reef sort of feel definatly going to take it slow and do it right (cheap, but right)
