  1. my 1100's where about 113 i think (after shipping)
  2. its a bit hard to sell plumbing isnt it??
  3. i noticed yesterday some of my turbo snail eggs had actually survived and turned into tiny snails so ill probably put in a snail for fun
  4. yeah the monti cap frag i got from Chris is going nuts
  5. if things go well then i might even look at adding a montipora
  6. more water quality related and size isssues plus i dont completely trust everyone at work to be mature enough not to put stuff in
  7. i'd probably do it bit by bit, might get more for it and its easier
  8. What would be the key to keeping a fishless nano??? i have no problems with small tanks but i want a tank for my desk at work and i dont really want fish to worry about in the weekend i was just going to put in some mushrooms/zoa's and a LTA (just kidding) but if im not feeding the tank anything then there is no waste and no cycle, so do i just put in a tiny pinch of something now and again to feed the rock or do i not even need to do anything???
  9. the cabinet will just be a basic wooden frame with decorative ply on the outside (probably birch or cedar) stained nicely to match claires new table and chairs that would be right next to it. i dont really want to upgrade again thats why i was going to have the tank as wide as possible so that it would have the same capacity (if not more) than a four footer
  10. comes down to piece of mind and not wanting to have to take apart a cabinet when i move and then put it back together in the new house im going to be a pod racer, im going to be the first one to see them all
  11. hey steve what is that monstrousity that you posted when talking about circulation???
  12. as im making it all myself i would prefer to have it as one peice. I dont really like furniture that comes apart (at least not with that much weight sitting on top) might even just make a huge mofo tank and just store it untill we buy, make moving real easy
  13. best pic ive got of my flat worms are on the lps thread i started behind my purple fungia
  14. yeah the final dimensions can wait as all the other bits i can get now and then do the tank and cabinet last its probably going to take a while to get all the plumbing bits i need a ball valve here a ball valve there but it all depends on how long it takes for us to find a house and get things sorted out, as we've decided to save a bit more and get a house that needa a little bit less work (ie costs more)
  15. oh sorry and the lighting and exposure are the same only difference is the angle (second pics taken from above) and maybe time of day
  16. millions and then some i have noticed a reduction in them in the higher areas of the tank but i attribute that to the added flow. the colouration has been slowly improving from the time of purchase of the two shown corals but i have noticed an improvement in the last few days the improvements between these photos are not soo much from the rowaphos as they are from been in my tank especialy with the second coral, from now ill take all the pics from the second angle as it gives a far truer account of the colours.
  17. this is the before pic of the day after i got the coral. here it is as of today nice
  18. i've had this fungia for about a month
  19. heres a pic of the tank as of today
  20. havent noticed anyone giving them away :-? at the moment i cant justify the 500$ extra for the stream that i will eventually get
  21. well they are going again, had to take one out and give it a whack, reminds me of when i had a honda
  22. for the rest of you with seio's, have you tryed unplugging them??? if so did they turn on again when you plugged them back in???
  23. if you want a pit stop in the fountain city let me know.
  24. looks like a very succesfull move, the tanks looking great already other than the cloudy water. how long did it take all up??
