yeah the deep water acros that ive seen do look really nice, i love the shape
one thing i need to get used to is that you dont get what you buy cause the change colour quite alot
my tank over the last little while seems to be taking on a brownish hue
im not sure if its just because the glass is a little dirtier or what but i only really noticed when i looked at an old pic
ill post a current pic tonight
i've definatly seen some really nice coloured sps in most of your tanks
i think the only tank ive seen with comprable growth (at least from what ive seen) was in SteveA's tank
do you importers ever get any like this??? (if so put one on hold for me )
I was just checking out some posts on RC and came across this link in the SPS forum
http://members.cox.net/rollinge/
i thought it was great, i do have one query, what tare the two sps in the fifth pic down (the furry pink and furry green?)????
i can definatly see the advantage of the above tank but it just doesnt fit into the design part of my plans , and when it comes to the crunch it to hard to justify an above tank refugium (for now)
thats what i was planning on doing .
hopefully in getting it all sorted out in my head first i can sketch it up easily and start building
just tested my return pump. viaaqua 3300, its actually got a little more kick than i remember
nope ill still take it,
so far i have the over flow coming down into the refugium and then through another overflow into the sump. Through the sump/skimmer to the return pump backover and through the overflow (with hole just under water line to prevent reverse syphon.) then down into a spraybar under the main rockwork
would it be best to run the return pipe over the top or through a hole drilled at the appropriate level??
well its come back in a big way
photo period is down already and algae fix and water changes are not helping (no i dont have carbon in the filter at the moment )
any cure's or ideas people???
ive got i pump i can use for that, i was going to use it as my return but i guess i can get a bigger return pump
iwaki on a small tank
seriously though with a closed loop and the return from the sump i think ill only need one seio for extra power in high flow areas
after seeing that prop tank my wife said my tank was really messy because my corals arent in rows :-? need to reaquascape
anyway
for the return ive noticed that pretty much everyone has their returns at the top (or towards the top)
is there any way of putting it at the bottom or is the siphon in the event of power/pump failure inevitable???
