  1. If you do get one let me know cause i am in the market and would be keen for a peice of the action
  2. Tank is now full to the brim and it has some driftwood soaking in it while i make sure everything is still watertight. We are getting our new carpet in next week so i dont want any leaks. Hopfully i will have all the gear i need within a month and will have things moving along once back from holiday in feb. Will post some pics tommorow of the driftwood in the tank to get some opinions

    Co2

A solenoid turns the gas on and off at specific times (off at night on during the day) Its like a on off switch which you plug into a timer
  4. im going to get some glass ones made that fit my tank.
  5. Nice tank dude. Love the Rimless look.
  6. 6500k can appear very yellow to people accustomed to reef tanks, I like a nice clean white look (10k) but for the plants i'll have a mixture of T5 bulbs, if using halides i would probably endup using a 10k bulb that has a good colour range for plants
  7. this is one fish i'd happilly assist in breeding, if your serious about it luke let me know and i'll find me a pair as well
  8. to get the plants growing well you shouldnt be removing the PO4, if anything you should dose it, sometimes upping the co2 can reduce the algae
  9. you dont need to wait after setting up the co2 to put in fish, you only need to ensure that the tank conditions are stable, (no flucuating ph) if you have no fish then you can crank out the co2 as it would take alot of co2 to change the ph enought to effect plants, just make sure you have enough light and ferts to make use of the co2 being used
  10. three things Light, lots of light Co2, lots of Co2 (either a diy or pressurised) Nutrients, Nitrates, Iron etc etc I think your talking about the CO2, in which case you can either have a pressurised setup which basicly takes away the hassle from co2, or you can DIY by using yeast to create CO2.
  11. Looks good Reef. How are you introdusing the co2?? at at what rate are you running it?
  12. That things a monster. Awesome
  13. I've only ever seen them as small ones, does anyone have a larger one??
  14. Those are some attractive parents. Good genes make good babies, i'll be in the market soon for some high quality discus so its good to know they are out there. nice work
  15. At the moment I'm not really fused about the size as making the first one would just be an experiment
  16. Yeah the water purification places and the the hydoponics sound like a goos idea. I was thinking of a simple inverted bell design, it shouldnt be all that hard to make but if i struggle to find the ceramic peice i might just import as they are only about 50$ landed
  17. It'll be discus and a school of tetra, havent decided if im going to go with cardinals but if i can convince my self to breed them then i might have cardinals eventually. I'll probbaly start with a huge school of Neons though
  18. Yeah, being able to see throught the glass is a definate bonus, still need to clean the back and bottom and rinse out the tank a few times to get it sparkling though

I like yellow tangs more tbh.
  20. Moved the tank from the garage into the work room so i can tidy i up. Then i spat on it a few times and wipped it down
  21. Hmmm, i'd definatly choose the Jebo at that price. Might have to send someone down there some money
  22. I want to make a ceramic CO2 difuser but cant think of where i might be able to buy the ceramic disk to complete it. Anyone have some ideas?
