short answer... yes thats what ill be doing, would be cheaper to use glass but the paint thing would be an issue so ill be getting black arylic laser cut with the overflow comb at the top and glue it to the back wall

reef there are other importers in NZ, you cant say if there has been some imported by someone else in the south island or even in the north island

silicon is not ideal (suitible) for bonding acrylic to bond acrylic you need to melt it using an epoxy alot that just siliconing some glass -

i agree that glass would be easier. what are your chances of finding a tradesman skilled enough to mold the acrylic to the desired shape while retaining visibility?? -

back in the day when i was looking for a nice nano tank i was considering getting an acrylic tank from a LFS, they told me they wouldnt reccomend it because of the heater possibly warping the acrylic (low grade thin acrylic), anyway that my be why he's saying that

ever been there?? all i'll say is they make as much crap as they do good stuff. my favorite are the "Ape" three wheel'd utes with motor bike engines and bicycle horns Jimmy dont forget that your italian as well. (albeit 1/8th)
