call me crazy but i think i killed mine at the same time as the flatworms, i have new growth again now and the rescetion (sp) has stopped (not much of the brown one left)

im using a resin board (like what they use for lab bench's) fairly solid stuff, just seems like a large expense for something that wont be seen (i love granite my self but cant uderstand not being able to see it.

it should hae had a 1ml syringe (at least i think mine does)

why did you choose the granite to go under the tank? is there going to be part where the tank is not sitting on it or is the tank going to cover the granite completely?

whered you get it from fay? cause i for one would like to avoid the nasty little things. take it out and do a fresh water dip to kill the nudi's

just like any natural remedy for reef pests they are still hit and miss. some will gooble the aipstasia some won't.

havent seen them in NZ, not sure if they are around. not the most attractive shrimp though so maybe they are not brought in as no-one is willing to pay 50$ for a shrimp thats plain

yeah and you'd want a control (ie no carbon just water) dont be too hard on yourself

im assuming your doing that for the design benefits rather than for the structural benefits, cause other wise thats massive over kill still interested to see what your doing with the granite

some times the corals in the shops arent all that clourfull due to their situation. i have brought corals a few time that looked "Ok" in the shops but when i got them home looled quite impressive (lighting,flow, water quality). and ive gotten some corals that looked amazing in someone elses tank that dont look all that hot in mine. (lighting flow and water quality)

the shops get the list from the importer before the stock comes out of quarantine??? so i can order clown fish and yellow tangs? im not comlaining about availability im just saying that jansens always seem to have a better selection than hollywoods (i only really stop by on the off chance there might be something i want to buy while on the way to do other things)

imo jansens has the better coral selection. both the hollywoods have dissapointed every time i visit so i dont anymore
