hey when you have an old bulb does the amount of light it puts out lessen (visiblly or actual light for the corals) or is it just a change in colour temperature?

i was at the LFS and the new shipment of marines came in a day or two earlier, hiding in the white xenia that came in was a little white crab, (very white) and about the size of a 5c peice. does anyone know what type of crab it might be??

Hey How many peoples clowns (perc or occillaris) have laid eggs?? mine have started exhibiting what i think looks like mating behaviour, they swim around different parts of the tank together (when they decide to leave the anemone) and mainly focus on one spot which is the left hand side of the tank, they then shimmy along the glassback and forth taking turns. From what i can see they arent laying eggs but rather preparing the spot for egg laying, ive read that they like to thoughroly clean the potential nesting site. any one got some ideas or noted the same thing whith their fish? Didnt yours lay eggs steve

i agree they are a very cool fish, mine seems very mellow, how long do they normally take to get adventurous and come out in the open alot?? how long have you had yours for TM??

I just yesterday got a sixline wrasse, yeah I ordered it through my LFS from Aquanet, i got an awesome price has anyone had a problem with these jumping?? just want to be prepared and pu tin some preventitive measures

on nano-reef.com you are ridiculed for posting anything having to do with a tank over 30g, in the states thats what they consider a nano, then there are the pico's i beleive that is aroung the 1g mark or less does the over flow make much noise?? do you have a sump? or does the over flow for a closed loop?
