My babies... I do kitten fostering as well, so whenever I get a cute pic, here it'll go! We currently have 6 kitties in the house! This is Harry. Dumped at 2 days old with his sister Bailey. Handreared him myself. My children! Kiwi - ish. Grandma (Mums side) was a refugee during WW2, sent to NZ shortly after. Grandpa was in the Navy, came here and joined her. Made lots of ickle grandbubbies like me.. :lol: Dad is dutch, came over here for OE when he was 21, fell in :love: never left. Getting itchy feet to travel myself, but what will I do with the critters!!!! &c:ry

Very keen to redo all my tanks with silica, last bag we got was a black silica on trademe and haven't seen it since. Have googled Swanson, there seems to be a large variety?? Silica: J61W/Mataia/44/20/TriStar/IMH/Problend/AW#1/Supa C/Supa M/Mortar Sand/Concrete Sand Now might be a silly question :dunno: but they do Iron sand as well? Is this similar to Flourite etc, just wondering if it would be benefical to plants or not. Thankys

Agree!! Plus you will get bored of a 60l so quickly! It's what I started with, so if you are moving out, might as well get approval for a decent sized tank and have some real fun My landlord was so excited about my fish tanks, helped me move them, and when he popped over for an inspection he just started asking me a load of questions about tank keeping and watching my fish... unbelievable LOL.

Hey guys! Very excited to be here. :happy1: Have nosied around the forums for a little while, and figured about time to make some introductions! My name's Laura, bit petmad to be honest, fish, bearded dragons, cats, dogs, birds, chickens. Had a bit of everything over the years. Family's all a bit that way too, so whatever I don't have, they do! Ex vet nurse, work with animals all my life. Bit bonkers tbh. Currently my fish tanks are looking a bit sad, moved house a bit over the last year and downsized drastically. I did have a 650l, a 400l, two 150l and six 50ls, at my previous house, currently just have a 165 litre tropical freshwater, a 90l tropical freshwater and a 25l quarantine tank so its a bit sad! Working on fixing it all up, looking good again and then go from there. Got really into my planted tanks for a while and I'd love to go back that way! Just finding the time for it all. My 650 was my favourite, clowns, surinamensis, jurapari, silver sharks, ghost knife, syno's, plecs, albino kribs, silver dollars. I do miss it so The parents have a 450l discus tank that somehow I paid for yet is on a permanent vacation at their house, don't ask me how that works. All up they're at about 10 tanks, mainly a small amount of hobby breeding and all are FT. Well that's me, hoping to be able to call on all of you for advice and support while I get the courage to redo my tanks!! HAHA.
