  1. Ours is in with the goldfish at 20 deg.
  2. I use a grey, 3-6 grade pebble and stacks of limestone. Small pebble are easy for them to move around and create there tunnels etc and easy to vacuum. I have some bags available but its not worth shipping them.
  3. The point of the noodle bio balls noodles is just to increase surface area for the bacteria to live on. Bacteria feed on firstly the ammonia in the water then other bacteria feed on the nitrite produced by the ammonia feeding bacteria. Once the ball, noodles are full of "muck" they are kind of pointless as this prevents water flow and oxygen needed for the bacteria. This is why you should have your mechanical filters first to keep them clean.
  4. Whats your stocking list? How often have you been doing water changes and how much before now? Its a bit of a juggling act really. You probably need to do more regular nitrate tests (before or after each water change until you have worked out how much you need to change and how often to keep your nitrates stable and in the orange. Every ones tank is different so you really need to work out your own system.
  5. it will be only one track now unfortunately.
  6. +1. listen to them before you burn them. Usually already a gap there. You dont normally have one song running into another. I just used windows dvd burner last time. POwer DVD quite often. If you want them running into each other you will have to edit the tracks first.
  7. Re. the cleaner. You would hardly be mixing chemicals. Just have a look in your house hold cleaners and see if you have anything containing ammonium- glass cleaners usually and put sum in some water and then test it.
  8. Im not sure you would have hi ammonia readings. Your bacteria will keep increasing with your fish size and the extra waste output. You would get higher nitrate readings though. Could you test something really obvious like putting a cleaner containing ammonia in some water and testing that if you want to confirm your test is good?
  9. I would probably use a silicone in this situation. Neutral cure. Cant think of the particular brand, but they take quite a lot longer than the solvent based glues to dry.
  10. Id use some 3 or 4 ways in the rear and build a box for them to sit behind the rear seats rather than cutting door panels. You could pair some tweeters up in the front if you are getting new front speakers. Like the others said just get something of same size that your head unit can drive. Reasonable quality.
  11. an 18mm garden hose (rather than the standard 12mm) is probably the cheapest way to increase you pipe size. Also have a look at the bunnings submersible pumps too.
  12. Does your computer detect your camera when you plug it in? then select "copy images" or what ever. Otherwise use EOS Utility to take them off. Make sure its the right version for your camera.
  13. is it that Araldite super strength stuff? Should be fine. Just got to watch some of those 2 pot epoxies on some plastics. Metal to glass should be sweet though.
  14. the 50mm lens' are more portrait lenses i would say. The lens will say if it is a macro lens or not. 45cm is a standard lens focus length. Macro go in to around 30cm.
  15. Id say it was the heat pump. It could easily be costing you a dollar an hour depending on whether it is heating or cooling and how hard it is working. Have you had the heat pump for long? Do the maths. It doesnt take long to add up to a lot.
  16. Nice photos. You dont really need a "smaller lens", you need a dedicated macro lens. Like the 100/2.8 USM or IS L series if you are loaded. Have you tried using your telephoto lens and a tripod to get closer? Its not ideal as the glass in those standard lenses is quite slow but it can work. The other option is try using your big lens and your small lens back to back like this. http://digital-photography-school.com/h ... lens-video . Id save for the L series lenses if you think it is something you want to take seriously. You'll notice a huge difference.
  17. hi, are you relying soley on the fish or are you boosting with ferts? cheers.
  18. The only test kits ive ever had and heard of that were dodgy were the Gh tests. Others ive had even years after expiry have still worked. Good idea to amke sure your test tubes are clean and rinse them first in the tank.
  19. I have wide feet. Shoes i used to run in were a Nike air Max in 2e then they got rid of that so i switched to asics 2140?? in 2e. I guess Athletes foot gave you the best fitting shoe?? If so i would go to a podiatrist and look into getting inner soles made. Then maybe work on you gate/ heel strike

  22. those arnt made to run all the time either they get hot pretty fast. Belt driven ones are more efficient but they arnt made to run non stop either. You would need to get a pretty big storage tank to prevent it from doing this.
  23. also of mbuna. Tropheops http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/s ... php?id=944 or an eyebiters from the Haps
