  1. Nah I don't think 4g is available here yet, I'm connected to my wireless network. Through 3g I only get speeds of around 4mb/s.
  2. Testing to different servers around the world; Sydney 11.4 - 1.4 Perth 10.6 - 1.3 Singapore 7.7 - 1.1 Ho Chi Minh City 4.8 - 1.5 Quite interesting really, I'm with flip and find them great.
  3. I get a constant 13.7 d/l and 1.6 u/l with 48ping, that's using my cellphone connected to my modem and using the Wellington hosted server.
  4. Corner overflow that is square, but yeah the hole is in the bottom of the tank, the holes either 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 inch I think from memory.
  5. You won't find any noticeable difference, even though they say adsl2+ capable doesn't mean much as our max speeds aren't that speed yet anyway.
  6. Hey guys are there any of you awesome Christchurch members that would be willing to pickup and courier some fish to me in Invercargill? I would of course pay petrol costs etc. The fish would be some tetras, a mixture of rummynoses and cardinals.
  7. I'll pass dude lol, he doesn't really suit the way I have my tank set up sorry. Put him on trademe for $1 reserve I bet he sells.
  8. I would go with a canister filter for a tank that size, have you looked at the sunsun brand ones on trademe, from what I have read lately they seem to be great value for money.
  9. :cophot: Now that's what I call an impressive hedge of rotala!
  10. Hey guys I am starting to think about using a sump on my discus tank and was wondering what sort of system I can use, the tank already has an overflow box in the corner that is pre drilled with only one hole at the bottom, from what I have seen searching the net most tanks have 2 or more holes drilled either for a herbie or beananimal style overflow. How would I set this up with only one hole? Noise doesn't bother me as it is in my study room anyway but I want it reliable so that it doesn't flood the room. I don't have any plumbing experience so this has me stumped lol.
  11. Damn man that sucks, he was so well behaved when I had him, didn't even touch the neons or rams which are both easier to catch than barbs!
  12. co2 just ran out, will have to go refill it tomorrow. I'm pretty happy that it lasted 4 1/2 months especially with me playing around with it when I first set it up. I think I will get at least 6 months use out of a full cylinder.
  13. cheers guys will pass the info on, much appreciated.
  14. Cool tank man, what are the plecs that came with it? KP had some amazing plecs and plants.
  15. it's a shame that your taking a break p44, you tanks are some of the nicest planted one's I have seen.
  16. He just done his 2nd dose of prazi/droncit. He dosed with aviverm 4 times in total. From what I have been reading online though neither prazi nor aviverm will effect camallanus, the only thing that works is Fenbendazole which is the active ingredient in panacur. It was definitely camallanus worms that I seen hanging but of the ram.
  17. Hey guys I have a mate who has just started keeping tropical fish and hasn't had much luck so far, he keeps just the usual community fish like bn, neons, gourami etc. Every few days he loses a fish for no apparent reason, I told him to maybe treat for worms with prazi and aviverm but it hasn't helped at all. I was over there earlier and was having a good look at his bolivian ram and I noticed 3 small reddish hair like things sticking out of its anus. After a bit of searching online it seems it is camallanus which I understand you use panacur to treat, but with all the conflicting information on the internet I was wondering if anyone here has had any luck dealing with it and what they used at what doses for how long? Cheers.
