i stripped the varnish of my rimu tank and finished it with danish oil not cheap but very good results

i used to catch em heaps as a boy with tea tree snap a branch off and hang it in the river/creek walls they will be atracted to it and slowly pull them up use net if needed

yes im with you wayneh no water in no water out unless pump fails and it starts to back syphon into sump depending how deep the outlet is in the sump it will drain to there i have little air holes just above water level on my outlet so it cant back sypon to much and leave enough room in the sump to contain it all

hey there ryan how are you good to see you back again my fish are growing great especially the peacocks getting huge now and great markings and the yellows are getting nice and yellow and black and the demi's well striking the love their vege cucumber and lettuce and mashed up pipi but i dont know how to feed them this new life spectrum seems to blend in with the stones to much

they are great mammals try diving with them when they are around they are awesome beasts we get them all the time up here

your right dj why throw away some thing that only needs a bit of rubber in it and maybe a bit more the pump is only 2 years old and been used for 1 year

i have seen some of the same pumps on TM for around $50 so i suppose by time i find spares and get them here would be about the same cost in time

does anyone kno if you can get spares for air pumps i have an aqua one sr-12000 4 port pump and i think one of the diaphams has gone in one

good thing about having a sump you can keep all filters and pumps and heaters in there leave the tank to the fish
