well a week has gone by now and he is still going and is eating well has been chased around but looks healthy but tail gone where will i get meth blue from ? maybe a chemist remember i am 100km from a one horse town with no fish shop :lol:

if it is fin rot and it certainly does look like it now should i get it out of the tank i have checked all the water parameters and they are fine all the other fish are fine as well and lots of little demi swimming around and some yellows

yep just the yellows and the peacocks and more demisone of course

found a demi on the weekend that has no tail left and its a big one something has been scoffing it this is the second one in a month he is still swimming around with his stub but dont think he will last long i wonder who is doing it maybe i should get my new tank going and split the fish up ?

how do you know when they are holding ? never seen my demi's look any different but there are always little fellows apearing from the rocks :roll:

got up this morning and checked the fish to find some thing had eaten the sides out of one of my baby demisoni ( 3 months old) dont know why they are well fed

we got 180 mm rain yesturday and very high winds and became an island for the 2nd time in a week but we keep our power this time

make sure the rocks are well grounded as mine have undermined mine and dug them out but i dont care today i have little electric lab babies

come to the coromandel we have plenty of power outages none planned and you never know when it is comming back on

the rock is mountain shicst you shouls have plenty down there

my 300 litre is getting far to small for my demis and peacocks now and only 6 months old

i keep a very close eye on my water and use the rift lake buffer at water changes and have limstone in my sump as well

i keep all my peacocks and demi and yellow breeding ones separate
