  1. Hi I don't think they're charging me a fee, just a $880 holding fee. I got it off the online website, so no shop to go to. I might try YooBee in town, probably my best bet in getting it replaced. So contacting apple is contacting where I bought it . Thanks
  2. Yeah, I was thinking, what if something goes wrong and I don't get that $800 back... Yeah I've had apple for a few years now, a few technical glitches sometimes but normally easily fixed. But this is angering me. I listen to music almost everyday. It's like going without coffee or alcohol each day
  3. Hi I have a problem with my iPhone 4 and the headphone jack has stopped working and when listening to music it sounds really distorted. I tried using it with my iPad, it worked fine. And with another pair of headphones, a no go on the iPhone and a go on the iPad. So I called apple today (I have an extended warranty bought in October '10) and explained my problem and they said they can send me a new phone. They needed a credit card though for some holding or something. So I asked how much this was, I had my debit card on me and maybe thought I could put it on there. $880. Yeah a bit more than what's have on my account. So to anyone that has had their iPhone, iPod, iPad ect replaced and had to pay this fee, does it get returned? I guess I should've asked more questions about it, because that's a crap load of cash to pay. Any experiences out there? Thanks
  4. Did you try transferring the file to the computer then load it on? It then skips it having to be transferred of the camera, through USB, through the computer, onto the net. Or maybe photobuckets having a fit, and try loading it to YouTube.
  5. Huh cool. Did you kill them? I remember reading about it somewhere. Lol catch them like hillbilly hand fishing. That shows insane...
  6. Paper towels? :dunno: from what I've read it's a good substrate
  7. Hi, I saw this auction on trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=429547645 But I only want the tank. So does anyone want the rest? We can negotiate prices, but if one were to pay, the other would deposit the amount negotiated into the bank account, so one is not stuck with the other stuff. Hope that makes sense. In other terms, The tank has a safety factor of 5.0 I assume this is a strong tank, providing it has been braced. So is this safe? In conclusion, I would take the tank, and the other buyer(s) can take fish, plants, lights, stones, rocks and wood. I can organize transport, but I would need some help. Ie I can get the trailor, buckets (hopefully you have some as I only have like 4?) , chilly bins ect but may need a car :dunno: Please PM me if you are interested. Thanks Matt

That's cool, what kind of scape are you going to do? I went for a walk on the beach today with my dog and found a few hermit crabs This one was already out tried to get it into a new shell but nope. And another of a hermit crab I found I Vanuatu, I put it in the hot tub... And some geckos in Vanuatu And a panorama of the walk, the sea, the island, the dog
  9. Looks good, but what's the splotches? And shouldn't there be the legs right at the end? I'm no builder either so I wouldn't know
  10. You wouldn't want to put them in shock by changing the temperature by that amount. Just gradually change it put in a bucket of cold water (I'm assuming this is what you are using) every half hour or so. Or use warm water therefore no temperature change. HTH
  11. :slfg: sorry, I don't know how to :dunno: it has a kind of its own sometimes. It would be worse if I turned it off anyway
  12. I know of know how to build a tank. I'd just need to know how to brace it properly  . I built a small tank but it had no braces because I think it doesn't need it. The local manufactors are expensive. I got quoted about $300 in glass for a tank 1200x380x450, and a new one at the shop cost me $200. I guess I'll eventually move it inside, move it inch by inch a day :slfg:
  13. Hi, Okay, I will rethink it all. There are a few tanks on here also in masterton. I'm torn to get the 500L as that is made of 10mm. I'll stick it's dimensions into the safety calculator and see how it goes. I would rather get a massive (bigger than 500L) because it's an outside tank, mum said last and final tank. So bigger is better. I might call up port nichilson glass and see how much a tank is from them. But buying a new tank is going to be expensive. Thanks Matt
  14. Yeah, I'd plan to build a stand for it as well. Okay I'll get my mate to measure up his trailor and see if it will fit. MTS....
  15. Sorry, the dimensions may have been misleading, it's 800 high. Im not too confident about taking a whole panel out, how about buying the same size pane and sticking it on the inside of the tank? Oh and I thought about making a "plug" for it so you an take out this plug and it will drain the tank for easy cleaning. I would plan to breed some mountain minnows in it. They should survive over winter outdoors? See the crack second pic of this auction http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=429129324
  16. Haha yeah, I will talk to the parents and see what they say as well. We don't actually have a trailor, but a few mates have them. I would plan to cover the whole thing is polystyrene if it were to go on a trailer and probably tape it up so it doesn't shift. I don't plan to fill the tank past half way. My other option is to cut the top 20cm off. I'd have to check the seals as well. I'll see how big some trailers are, or how much a truck is to hire. I know the guy that owns mainfreight so maybe he could help me out :dunno: Thanks Matt
  17. Hey all, I've seen a nice big tank on trademe, 1900x800x600, but only problem is that it's in masterton. Clearly it's too big for a car or a trailer to go and pick up. Does anyone know of a company that can get it from there to here? The tank is cheap so I don't mind paying a bit more for shipping. Anyway this tank is made of 10mm glass, which isn't that safe according to the glass safety calculator (1.1?). And according to some posts by Warren a safe factor is 3+. Is there anyway without rebuilding the tank to make it more safe. The tank has a crack on one of the end pieces, it is 20cm long. Should I be looking at replacing the whole panel or just patching it with a "glass sandwich" with some silicone in the middle? I will most likely be putting this tank outside more for convenience. Proably like an outside pond during summer for Squirtle. So it won't be full to the top. If I can get it all organized before Christmas, it will be my Xmas present to myself/Squirtle. Thanks Matt
  18. Dayum, it's huge. Y'know just going to feed my weta a carrot

Good day today. I bought a magnetic turtle dock from Kapiti kritters, did a large water change, cleaned the ornaments, wiped off the algae and restuck the background on. I then had great fun "dismantling" my old basking area  . Then cleaned my room (filled the wheelie bin with junk from my room ). And it only took me 5 hours  :yaw1:
  21. :slfg: 20L tank with a 180L barrel sitting next to it
  22. I felt it here as well. Wasn't bad, imagine each time an earthquake gets 1.0 stronger it gets 10x stronger...

For those with marine tanks, and looking for a RODI unit, could this work? http://www.1-day.co.nz/products/QM1CEN0WF Idk maybe.
  24. Yeah, I was thinking, only thinking, about breeding them. There's not much info on the net about them (breeding). Have lots of live food for them. I hear they breed around autumn? And then the eggs hatch when it warms up in spring? Not sure about it though.
