  1. I've never had cockabillies. Again try feeding the daphnia. Or maybe try some microworms. Preparing your son for the worst isn't always the best option.
  2. It's animal cruelty. To take a animal and not feed it purposely. I had tadpoles as a kid, and when I went on holiday I released them. Local ponds creeks ect. Not just leave them for dead. Sorry but your best bet is build the pond this weekend, put the tadpoles in and leave the bullies in the tank.
  3. +1 Try adding some java moss for cover for the bullies, or add some cover. Try feed them daphnia or something. What kind of tank are you keeping them in?
  4. Yes, they are also protective of what apps are allowed to be released, it has to go through a team to check it is virus free.
  5. Cough over protective is sometimes better than not protective enough. I mean if you're downloading all this stuff (themes games ect) how do you know you're not downloading a virus?
  6. People have been panning for gold for hundreds of years in NZ, do you plan on doing this full time? Even if you can find people with old maps, I don't think theyd share it.
  7. http://www.nzpam.govt.nz/cms/minerals/gold-fossicking You'll be lucky to find any, unless you devote your life to finding the right spots. I wouldn't get your hopes up on finding an ounce of gold to sell for $2K. Panning you normally only find flakes, I have a few on a glass jar (a few from the US at some amusement park, may have been knottsberry farm, and a few from panning in Christchurch a few years back), weigh close to nothing.
  8. +1 most likely genetically modified or photoshopped, it's like the flouro danios.

:slfg: Went for a kayak this morning, it was beautiful until it started to rain. Some nice pieces of driftwood I saw out on the lake, it's funny how I notice all the rock formations and moss now :smln:
  10. Fair enough, $50 for some photos is a lot to pay. Sometimes the phones just having a fit? Have you re tried the USB?

Phew, maybe I should go and get it then. :nilly:  don't like seeing the needle before it goes into your arm still, gives me the shivers. Next times go to the doctors I'll enquire, as I'm off to Singapore soon, and from my readings they have TB over there, so I may (not) get it before I go. But Singapore is supposed to be quite hygienic? Meh. @Pheonix, I think so, I got no scar/mark like my parents so I'm taking I don't have it.
  13. Hi sophia I'm not sure, last time I went into Dick Smith they were about $30. The more expensive ones may be of better quality, more compatible with more devices, might transfer data quicker? How did you get on with transferring the photos? On a side note, does the phone have a removable SD card? Because some computers have a SD card slot which maybe you could then transfer photos off? A Bluetooth dongle is essentially giving the computer the ability to use Bluetooth

Has anyone had their TB vaccination? And does it hurt like everyone says? I saw Vervos discus thread about it It's not a huge thing in NZ, but I really should go get it, I wish my parents got it for me when I was young. My main concern is that it's going to hurt when you get the shot, my mum and dad, uncles, aunts all said it really hurt. I'm normally OK with pain, but injections get on my nerves. I feel light headed just sitting here thinking about it.
  15. :slfg: I was just assuming you could get your hubby to get some scrap bits, you wouldn't need a lot.
  16. Ok, after a quick google search I see what it is. IMO get two ( or one depending on position) of acrylic and stick on either side of the light, would be the easiest fix.
  17. What kind of light is it? I read your whole post thinking ??? A link to the product would help

On contrary I quite enjoyed today, went to Napier today to see my grandma, and listened to the edge top 40 the whole way here. Can't wait for boxing day now to go shopping :happy2: :happy1:
  19. No problem  happy to help. Nothing like breaking in a new hammock at the same time :yaw1:
  20. Okay, I can see why you don't want to use te Internet, it's expensive! Like 49c a megabyte and a photo is 3mb normally. Yep most Bluetooth dongles should work with your computer. Just make sure it works with windows 7.
  21. Okay, new possible solution? Maybe go on the Internet on your phone and load it up to photobucket? Then go onto your computer and download it from photobucket. You may not be able to do this but it's possible, due to the memory may be protected? Im not sure but it's worth a shot. Next option: take a picture of the picture on your phone with a camera and then load it not the computer
  22. Okay here's a windows 7 link go to step 3 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Set-up-a-Bluetooth-enabled-device
  23. I'm not sure where the Bluetooth is on PC, I'll google it and get back to you. Yeah normally there is a complete folder of photos, it's normally just coded I think mine was called DSCM or something. And if your PC doesn't have Bluetooth you can getaway device called a Bluetooth dongle. It slots into the USB port of the computer. Here's a video of how to find bluetooth on a PC, not sure what OS you are running. Maybe you could clarify? 95, 2000, vista, XP, 7?
  24. Okay, sorry I should've read it twice. Bluetooth is great. Turn the Bluetooth on your phone, and turn it on your PC (providing your PC has Bluetooth) then scan on your computer for your phone. Then click pair. The default password/pass code is 1234. Once paired you should be able to access your phone from there. You can even send the pictures from your phone to the computer if that makes it easier. Just click on options or a similiar action and click send>via Bluetooth. The photos are normally hidden in folders that may look like system folders. I have no clue which one but you may want to try searching the phone (on the computer when connected via USB) for picture suffixes such as .jpg and .png.
