  1. Yep, if your concerned do a dilute bleach solution 1:20 or add some boiling hot water to it. Make sure to wash it out if you use bleach. Hope you are ok with the floods.
  2. MAF. Only thing I can see wrong with them is that they suck up sediments. Possible diseases, organisms ect. :dunno:
  3. *cough* :digH: Did they seize it?

Huh. The ones I had at about 24C all died while a slow acclimation. About a degree a week... On a side note can we get pellia in NZ?
  6. What do you describe normal behavior as? An what else is in the tank?
  7. I always thought tiger barbs where a schooling fish? They may never feel comfortable with two. If your tank is big enough get another 3 or 4.
  8. I've never had these problems? What version iPhone is it? I can make calls off 1 bar signals, for about 10 minutes and it doesn't drop. I make calls inside, outside, camping ect and have been able to make successful calls everywhere.
  9. Oh ok, so they were like open to develop? Yeah I realize that. I guess it's the feel and the design of their products that so many people enjoy. That apple feel. And iOS is what have made the iPhone and iPad so successful.
  10. Okay yes, I don't know a lot about android original software, are they all android? And they seem to be all non touch screen phone (based on images)?
  11. :slfg: You have to admit though the original andoid software is very much a like apples iOS
  12. Might just have to buy the htc, get the beats, sell the phone I haven't seen the latest android software.
  13. I find apples iOS to be the easiest to use. I have tried android on a galaxy S and SII and windows 7 OS on A mates phone can't remember model. They are OK, IMO android feels cheap (and copied ). Windows 7 OS is nicer than android but iOS>W7 I'd wait for the iPhone 5 instead of buying a 4S. Apparently it was pulled just before the let's talk iPhone conference. I would expect them to release it 6 months after the 4S ie in April. Kind of like what they did with the 3G(S). I mean a whole year and all they do is add a new proccessor, make it CDMA and GSM and make a better camera? I expected a lot more from apple. The new 5 is supposed to have a 4" screen, square/rectangle home button, tear drop shaped, aluminium backing ect I'd expect it to have the A6 chip or this new chip because apple is buying out a company in Israel can't remember where I read that though. Anyway blah blah apple blah :slfg:
  14. I still think it would be hard to see them in a pond, remember it's going to get algae quickly due to sun exposure, so maybe buy I think it is barley straw? And if it's deep to prevent over heating, the fish are going to hideout down low. And they're not bright orange like goldfish so are going to blend into the substrate colour.
  15. Okay last note then. You were given some advice on the first page by a qualified person.
  16. I'd have to side with cricketman here. When you are eating fish and chips, the fish is dead and was humanely killed. It's mot like I'm pulling out a fish out of the water and eating it?! IMO you are not minimizing the fishes pain because how do you know that it hurt more having this thing on its eye, than having you cut its eye open and pour furan 2 in it? Just imagine yourself in its shoes, you get pulled out of the tank (stressing you) then having your eye (tumor) being cut open and this stuff poured in there. Then your back in the tank and its bleeding like mad. This could have made the fish even more stressed, opening it up to more diseases. And what did you cut the eye open with? Was it properly sanitized? Did you wear gloves? And to agree with Sophia, that he may have been better off dead. The fish would have died quickly, with little pain. And if you do save it, it has to live the rest of its life with this condition that may or may not get better. This decision at the start would have saved you the money. Did you even talk to a qualified person? I'd love to hear their opinion on this (about the cutting of the eye) Also, how do you know it's a bacterial infection? And if you used two full packet doses, then are you sure it's going to get better? I know it may look better, but how do you know that on the inside it's getting better? For all you know it could be really bad, and that this tumor is one of the final stages of the infection? Yknow all these things matter, and as a teen my opinion may not be as important as say yours or a qualified person.
  17. Hi IMO Tank-$150-$200 Light? 1 tube- $50 2 tube- $75 Eheim filter depending on model - $100+ Cabinet- $100+? And all the other stuff probably about $100 Grand total: $500-$575+ Just my estimation. But if you're going to list it on trademe, look at other tanks in you region and through out NZ just to make sure you're not over pricing it. HTH

Nice pond Caryl   Went up to palmy today, watched my cousin do his black belt. A solid effort all round, at first you break one wooden board (broke it first time, and then the next two who were also grading, didn't break it first time, just made you look better ), then the second Dan going for his third Dan, breaks three tiles with his fist and then is like POW and breaks three wooden boards with his foot.
  22. Hi guys, So I can put it on my visa debit? And if the bank decides to charge me the fee, I have to pay it? Ie I don't get it back? I've never really had problems with apple. Yeah a few bugs here and there, and the odd faulty phone, no biggy. Some people are terrible with their smartphones, no cases, no screen protector ect. I hate it when there is even a slight blemish on the actual device, drives me bonkers :an!gry Thanks
  23. I have an iPhone 4 as well. I hear if you have small hands the S2 aint good. I love my iPhone.

Off to go watch my cousin do his Kung fu black belt grading today in palmy. Should be good fun!
  25. Mmm yeah, the thing with apple is that I have to send my iPhone in first before they send me mine, so I don't know why I need to pay $880.
