Hi This morning I noticed in the cold water snail tank, a small little fry. There is some java moss in there, not sure what the lady had in the tank which she had the snails in though. May have been goldfish or guppies. But the moss had been in with my danios so who knows? It is tiny at the moment, and I have restarted my microworm culture for it to feed on something. Should I isolate it in a separate tank with some moss? Ie are the snails a threat? Thanks

:dunno: glass is a liquid, so leave it for 100 years and they'll take themselves out . I highly doubt toothpaste will work. I once had scratches on an old iPod which I tried to remove with toothpaste and ended up with more scratches... I have heard of people using a buffer, I would be extremely careful. Too much pressure and the tank will break. What do you planning on using the tank for? If not for display tank Just leave it. Also what kind of tank is it? If it is a regular tank you could replace the front panel if you really wanted too.

It takes 1/2 hr to an hour and like 10 minutes to take the blood I think then they observe you while resting. Sorry to hear about your nan by the way. @Adrienne, The bigger you are the more blood you have, so the more you can donate is what I've been told. But they must have some kind of limit. I'm a little but scared about this needle though. "apparently" some people have missed and had to get it put in several times to hit the vein :sick:

first periid this morning some girl said that they take 1/3 of your blood! It's like damn. I later learned this today that it is 470ml.

:sage: don't think I've had any of those immunisations. It's a good thing to be doing. Saving lives plus time off school at the same time. I just hope one day if I need blood someone else will donate :thup:

I'd be looking at 12mm+ at 700 high. Calculating what sizes you need confused me when I was building. 10mm So 1500x600x700 1 at 1500x600 2 at 1500x680 2 at 580x680 Plus bracing. Generally when building you don't want a thick bit of silicone between glass, you want to press the glass together. JME I didn't build my first tank very well, but a few people should be able to help when actually putting together your tank.

I do sometimes take antihistamines, plus I'm supposed to be taking regular doxycyclin (for pimples). But on the website it says like 1 week before donating. So if I took my last antihistamine and Doxy yesterday should I be good to go? I don't see much else that applies to me. Hi all, A talk today in assembly about donating blood got me thinking about it. So me and a mate are thinking about donating it (most likely will). Is there anything I should be doing (or not taking) before the blood donation people come to school next week? :nilly: Thanks
