Betta bits from animates worked a charm with mine. $10 and the tub lasted awhile! Mine also get fed colourbits, flake and whatever else I have at the time :lol:

AHT Brine shirmp flake is pretty decent from what I've seen. But it doesn't compare to NLS

I saw an auction on trademe for a "Ramshorm breeding colony". Basically it was a bucket full of gravel and water that supposedly had snails in it. Maybe that would work?
