I've seen quiet a few fish swim back wards? It's sharks that can't as the need water passing over their gills to circulate. other wise they drown

kiwiplymouth; I could use that in the back ground along with my other plant that does that. on the subject I have just this past half hour done some pruning and decieded I need some variety in my RHS back of the tank. the very far right back I'm leaving slightly clear so the filter dosen't get clogged. looking for a dense "bush" effect.

Ok so I have a big piece of wood in my 4ft tank and there are a few branches that stickout of the water, some as much as 30ish cm. I was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas of plants I can attatch to them to look good. needs to be able to live with out soil, attchted easy, probably bigged leaved so it is easy to pick the leace out of the tank and of course no toxic looking for 3 or 4 different plants. I've got stargrass, amazon sword, java fern, tiger lotus, indian fern, and a few stem plants in the tank

yea my faties male rat take ages to get a dirty smell. my girls a few weeks. it's not bad but they just need to have a bath. think it's cuz I only clean the cage when it starts to look bad or smells. Some smaller store can have decent rats. got mine from wet pets. and they had just come +been handled by kids heaps so had them sitting in my pocket in no time :tears: I miss them being tiny

get a rat =p they smell way less and the males smell less than the females, + you can walk round with them on you shoulder like a pirate :facepalm: with out them running away :nilly:

ah but some time they will get it under one name one shipment tand then a different name the next and if they don't know their fish think it is different. And some times it's the abreviated common name. Like SEA and those cold water algea eaters (never actually looked at them) I asked for a SAE and the guy said they were in this tank (points to a tank) which had the cold water ones because everyone had been reffuring to them as algea eaters. So I think it is also partly due to people being ill informed of the proper names sorry for the rant :facepalm:

I agree with you I asked for a SAE and had to tell them the difference and then pick it out. don't think half of them mind that much

Na 2 of my Peruvian Altums, though the 2 blacks do seem to be paired 2. glad they didn't mix. would be hard to rehome the young. btw still got atleast 2 little fighter bouncing round with the rest :bounce: :happy2:

found out why my angels were hiding, 2 have spawn and i think the other 4 have paired off too. why can't I have community fish that don't want to breed. I know have Panda cories, Golden bristle noses and angels breeding and looks like my Kribs might be pairing off too :facepalm:

If you have seen how they throw those bags sometimes. I would probab;y say No. though I'd assume you could get a special small crate

we didn't missuse it, not that we treated it with any special attention, my flats pretti good, apart from the occasional plate or cup it's only the machine that has broken in 2 yrs flatting and was half gone when we got it

barbs can be rather aggressive fish

Id say their way to small to worry about breeding them yet. I had 3 females a few months ago, turns out 2 were boys lol but all looked the same. they were fine till they got their fins fully grown then had to separate

yea fingers crossed. Had everyone out today except the pandas. does anybody know if zodiac loaches are ok on their own?

yea they stock that stuff in some pet shops for way more than that lol
