  3. bota are quite small, would not be as much a problem as termites will devour it much faster

  5. Planted helps aswell, thinking of actually trying to breed them soom though, and since I have never actually seen eggs I don't know exactly How I will do this
  6. I have my Pandas in my 300L com. with 6 angels, I find as long as there are places for the fry to hide and eat I get some servivors, Have seen atleast 6 fry in the last 3 months

  14. 6. would adult pandas or Gbas go for angel fry? I know the cories may go for their own as their infront of them but will they go for fry that are swimming about?
  15. yea cold. a tank were all i have to do is clean water and feed. no heater or anuthing else
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong but all goldfish type out grow fish bowls don't they? any similar fish that could be kept in one? probably be round 10-15L. I know I could kept minows or guppies but I want to try a simple peice, just fish and one plant
  17. I would leave them in my com. tank with the parents but It's is way easiest to catch them just after hatching

  19. We aren't alooud any tropical shrimp species in NZ. I think once apon a time we did but that was a while ago.
  20. Ok so here we go For the first time I am going to try breeding fish on purpose instead of them just appearing in my com. tank. I have 5 questions atm but will be adding more to this thread as they arise. to answer type 'A' and the number question your answering to save typing time. :thup: 1. If I was to spawn diff fish separatlyand then put them all in the same grow out tank would they be ok? looking at panda corys, GBAs and angels. 2. Will GBAs and Panda Corys eat angel fry? 3. will GBA fry eat white worms? 4. will dim lighting affect their growth 5. If I use A planted tank as a grow out, what are some big no nos? i.e. types of substrate, types of plants/ ferts, strong flow Thanks heaps guys James
  21. lol he doesn't work there enough for me to worry about that. I want to try get some as cheap as possibly. Might try breeding in a few months once I have the angels breeding set up going. would the fry survive ok on white worms? or would I need Brine shrimp?
  22. sorry have a 300L 4ft. I have angels, corys, GBAs and guppies breeding atm, can't be bothered trying to breed them tbh lol
