  6. I'm just liking the idea of seeing a fish you like that you might not know to much about or want to find something spacific, ie temp, diet, social behaviour, and being able to quickly look it up instead of having to go home or try see if the person with the fish knows much about them (LPS)
  7. I found that out in auckland when i couldn't keeo my trank cool. Am I correct in thinking that if it hasn't gone pink it is most likely to be shed exoskeleton?

  15. well went to himatangi yesterday and got some shrimp. I had no luck on one side so tried the other side of the stream and found loads of little guys and a few bigger ones, along with flat worms and numerouse amounts other aquatic invertibrates. I've put half of them into my cold tank and so far they are all doing well, though I can't find my big guy. Will the get sucked up the filter?
  16. lol yea NZ pork is good. still though to be on the safe side it pays to cook it. then you have nothing to worry about
  17. ok i'll try that and see if it helps thanks. I don't want to take it all out though as it gives the panda fry places to hide with out being eaten
  18. I use it on all my tanks, seesm to be lasting alot longer then what I used to use
  19. I know for humans you need to cook pork as it COULD be carrying tape worm eggs
  20. I have rescaped my tank about a week ago and since then my angels have been hiding around the back most of the time. I've got the front 3rd of the tank open with sand and stone and the other 2 3rds planted with a big peice of wood in the middle. my last set up had the same as this just rearanged differently and they were out the front atleast half the time. Yet when i was in auckland for the summer these guys were out most the time and the tank was smaller with the same lighting filtration and more plants for them to hide in yet they wanted to hang at the front. There was also move movement infront of the tank up there. My panda corys have also decieded to hide from me since auckland when they were out to say hello alot. I was wondering what I could do to try to stop this This is what my tank looked like in Auckland ( 250L) Was more heavily planted when I got the angels This is my set up when I came back from Auckland (300L) This is mu current set up (300L) Tank stocking: 6 Angels 4 Kribs 3 SAE 6 Black widow tetras 12 aprox Panda coys 1 Zodiac loach 1 khuli loach So what can I do to get my pandas and angels back out again?
