  1. well no luck this morning, or atleast I can't see any babies, could be hard with all the duck weed and indian fern I have floating round. Maybe I'll chuck the male back in and see how he goes
  2. I think I have seem some along with the comoon green one in the himitangi stream about 20-30 up from the beach
  3. ah that may be the problem =p might need anti turtle barriers around the plants =p We had some sturdy pond plants in our turtle pond out side back home along with grasses and low lying plants. Could work with the turtle (grasses and low lying out of pond)
  4. I can probably bring some indian fern up for you next month if you can't find anyone with any up there, though it is quite common
  5. well duck weed if your that way inclined, indian fern does a nice floating plant and Riccia are the only ones I can think or apart from mosses. and I have only seen them on here, though you could try hitting up Theplantlab or what every the username is on Tm, they usually have some plants you don't see in LFS
  6. My little guy has already put on some weight. And the trade table is anything, usually people only bring plants or fish, this is a chance to filters, lights, unwanted fish food, filter media anything and see if there are any takers. 8. She's always at the top and I feed them 3 times a day on decap brineshrimp and microworms. I never seem to have much luck with guppies of all things, last batch was the first one that I have had more than 4 fry., one of the smaller ones looks a tad prego too but hasn't drop any since I put her in with the male 3 months ago.
  9. ok didn't know what to name this so just wrote any old thing. I have a largish female guppie that just doesn't want to drop her babies, I have taken the male out, the babies out from her previous spawning almost 2 months ago and provided loads of floating plants for the young. How do I get her to spawn? any ques I can use? She is currently in with 2 smaller females, aprox 50 GBA babies and 2 mystery blue snails. Any suggestions?

  11. slightly off topic Q, but I have found one of my GBA babies to have a considerably shorter tail than the rest, the fin is almost directly after the body. Is this a common deformaty? the little one seems to be healthy and happy, even a little cute, wonder if I can breed a short tail golden bristle nose species =p
