  1. I think It is just so happens that florida is the first place to have it happen. They are a very adaptible fish and because of the ferocity, especially when spawning they reproduce quite well
  2. And considering that pretti much all of ournative fish are endangered it would be an extremne decieely stupid idea for someone to import them just incase someone decided to "set it free"
  3. This is the tank on thursday after a trip to kapiti
  4. I was never to big on rats but now I have to girls and their great, they love being round people and have so much personality.

  6. 135x54x62cm. It is a wee bit deeper than is ideal for planted but the height will look good with the angels
  7. OK so I thought I would atempt to do a log of my large planted tank I'm setting up. I have a simple wooden stand, courtesy of Bishop, 2 externals 1200L/h & 100L/h + 1 internal 1200L/h (will eventually get bigger external) at the moment have a double tube t5 4ft light. will have small river stones and beach sand with drift wood. I will pop up pictures and a stocking list when I get back home
  8. nap :yaw2: Halo3 or Halo Reach?

  12. can't fit a 4ft but can a 6ft lol. Yea I got a big room this yea so good excuse. I'll worry bout moving into a small room when it happens. What would you guys recommend as a mininum water turn over in the fully stocked tank?
  13. So an update on the cichlid situation. I have just sold my 300L and got a 445L (thanks mell). So far stocking will be; 4 silver angels 2 veiltail rams 5 mzcmasteri 6 black widow tetras 3 SAE 1 zodiac loach 20 ish Panda corys 4 Tri corys 3 golden bristle noses 1 spotlight bristle nose and 2 Mystery blue apple snails (if my loach doesn't go for them) I am wanting to get (eventually) 3-4 steel blue Borelli whiptails and a few small plecos more tri corys 1-3 more silver angels 2 SAE and 1-2 zodiac loach. Have only got the one light at the moe so will need more for the plants Filtration: sunsun 1200L/h, temp. Unimax 250 and 1200L/h internal till I get a bigger external. thinking I will plant it out with mostly swords, java/windelov fern, anubis and dwarf sad with some small crypts and stems plants. If I have enough filtration will this be an ok stocking? I will upgrade the filters before I got more fish
  14. Dubstep or Drum & Bass?
  15. Marines are alot more work and extra cost than freshwater aquariums. as with the number of fish, I think you have to take in mind the type of fish, Plants etc., number of water changes, water quality, bla bla bla ....... So if you do everything right in a tropical tank and do the best for you little pets they should be fine. Thinking back I probably over stocked my fist tank which was 23L with only an under gravel filter and plastic plants :slfg:
  16. eat poo? really sometimes people amaze me
  17. I will. just be a pain if I have to change it all. I know of people who have been using the sand so I'm not to worried about that. And my tank that everything is in at the moment is reasonable neutral. Fingers crossed
